Virtua Wars is a team battle event featuring a variety of veteran VFers, popular streamers, and professional players. This is a collaboration between SEGA and G-Star Gaming, a women eSports team. The two teams will be led by well-know VF veterans Ohsu Akira and Bunbunmaru.

SEGA just announced the grand prize for winning the Virtua Fighter Open Championship (VFOC) is $100,000! Qualifiers will be held in North America, Europe, Asia (all Asian regions except Japan), and Japan. The first qualifier to start the VFOC will be at Combo Breaker.

In the first producer letter for VF5 R.E.V.O., Aoki celebrates the one month anniversary of the game's release. The two main topics from the letter:1) Updates to the game are ongoing, please continue to provide feedback through their official Discord. 2) Details for the global Virtua Fighter Open Championship (VFOC) will be revealed soon.

Update February 25, 2025: Akira (Virtua Fighter 5) got the most votes and will be represented in the next VF t-shirt. You can see the complete voting tally on the 30th Anniversary Website.
Akira Zero, a longtime member of the VFDC community, has sadly passed away. Our condolences to his family and to all with whom Akira Zero has been a part of their life.
