The exact dates for the VF5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Closed β Test has been revealed: September 10-15. Be part of the "Virtua Team" and test the upcoming game to make it the best product it can be!

Continuing with the Virtua Fighter Open Championship (VFOC) series, last weekend saw the first APAC Online Qualifier tournament held with 126 entrants from all over Asia, including Australia(!) This coming weekend on Sunday 7 September, the second APAC Online Qualifier will be held. The top 4 from each Qualifier will then face off in the APAC Online Finals where the winner will secure a coveted spot in the VFOC Global Finals. The next three Virtua Fighter Open Championship Online series--APAC, Europe, and North America region--will give out free Virtua Fighter t-shirts to 3 randomly selected players per region! Winners of the t-shirts will be announced at the regional finals.

VFOC Qualifier at VSFighting XIII will be streamed at multiple channels. Saturday's top 24 by King Jae, and Sunday's top 8 by Electronic Dojo on Twitch. Both days' streams will also be available on Virtua Fighter's official YouTube channel. Who will be the 6th player to be invited for the VFOC Grand Finals in 2026!?

VF5REVO World Stage was announced at EVO Dev Panel. The cross-platform version with Dural playable and many other updates. World Stage will be available for free upgrade to Steam players with VF5REVO and launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 30th. Switch 2 version release date coming soon.

The regional finals for VFOC Online North America 1 will start at 9:30 PM EDT, Saturday evening, July 12. For other parts of the world (Europe, Asia, etc) event occurs early Sunday, July 13th. The regional finals is a first to 3, double elimination tournament. With a $2,500 prize pool to be split between the 8 regional finalists, the winner of this event will get an invitation for the Global Finals in 2026.

Volume 1 for Europe region was completed recently in June. Volume 2 for North America region starts July 19th! Some differences: Instead of top 2 advancing to the finals, top 4 players from each qualifier will advance to the finals. There is also a pot bonus of $1000 for the November Finals.

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, VFOC had its first Asia Offline Qualifier at Tokyo, Japan. In a grand finals where both players chose characters they do not commonly used in tournaments, Virgo wins! He is the 2nd player to be invited to the Global Finals in 2026.
