The exact dates for the VF5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Closed β Test has been revealed: September 10-15. Be part of the "Virtua Team" and test the upcoming game to make it the best product it can be!

Continuing with the Virtua Fighter Open Championship (VFOC) series, last weekend saw the first APAC Online Qualifier tournament held with 126 entrants from all over Asia, including Australia(!) This coming weekend on Sunday 7 September, the second APAC Online Qualifier will be held. The top 4 from each Qualifier will then face off in the APAC Online Finals where the winner will secure a coveted spot in the VFOC Global Finals. Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will have a single player mode with the same name as the game's title. For the month of August, SEGA will be accepting names for the CPU opponents that will populate what appears to be a mode like Quest mode of past games.

Patch 1.05 is live! As expected, the empty Online section of Replay Mode is now populated with what appears to be the 10 most recent online rank matches. You can also download the match being shown on the Main Menu and most recent Rank matches from players' profiles.

As announced in the Spring 2025 VF Direct, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. No concrete date has been announced, but you can now put the game in your "Wishlist" on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. REVO version on Switch 2, which the console will be released on June 5, 2025, is still listed as "Coming Soon".

On the 10th and 11th of May 2025, EVO Japan hosted the 19th VFR Beat-Tribe Cup tournament. VF Lives Tournament, a collaboration between Maximillian, SEGA, and TNS is the largest online event for Virtua Fighter with over 300 participants, over $4,000 dollars prize pool, and plenty of VF memorabilia given out to top 8.

VF5REVO Patch 1.03 is now available. After trying it out, make sure to provide feedback to SEGA through their official discord channel!
