Several weeks ago, DK's Blog and later AM2's Virtua Fighter Arcade Website announced the Final Season of Battle Audition. Battle Audition is a series of tournaments that ultimately determines the current line-up of “Star Players†that started with the Virtua Fighter 5 series in Japan. Current Star Players include Tomarion, Fullswing, and Anaguma. Former Star Players include Itabashi Zangief, YOU, and Koedo. So who will win these tournaments giving them the right to challenge the current star players!? Check the next post in this news topic for more information on Battle Audition and Star Players.

Frank "I can't talk about it" Hom, Senior Producer on Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown at SEGA of America has blogged about The Road to Evo 2012.

"The ROAD wasn’t easy and we met a lot of great people who hooked onto our bandwagon as we made the journey. I’d like to give some highlights from my perspective now that EVO has passed."

It's an excellent account on the journey SEGA have taken, starting from 2010 with Frank's appointment of Producer, and culminating at EVO 2012. Check it out!

IT'S COMBO TIME!

Last week, Gamer Bee(!), L_A and GoatCheese Blues took the top spots and Rip earned $60 of IndustryVFX money by winning the WNF Weekly Rising Star Player Award. Don't sit on your ass at home and let that happen again. Come and do some BIG DAMAGE!

Now there's more money up for grabs!

Brisal73 just messaged a bit ago. He's putting his money on the line, too. He will pay players new to VF $5 every time they win a game off of him in the tournament. Send him to losers, you get $10. Meet him there later and kick him out of the tourney, BAM!, another $10 for you (or anyone else who does it).

WNFs are hosted at the Super Arcade in Walnut, California with the tourney to start ~ 9 PM PST. Casuals start at 7 PM PST. $5 to get in. $5 to enter the tournament.

Last season saw 30+ players entered two weeks in a row. Looking for 40+ for 4.2. Let's do this!

Members of Team Ninja and Dengeki magazine squared off in DOA5, bringing us our first look at Sarah in action!

It looks like most of her attacks are intact from VF5, so Sarah vets will most likely be able to jump right into the game once it comes out in September.
