I got negs for being overly agressive and unsporting.

Overly Agressive in Virtua Fighter. A fighting game.

Sorry to bump such an old topic, but I have to say the XBL rep system is a total joke. I didn't even know you could check on rep until I read this topic, so I checked mine last night and was amazed to discover I that have 25% Trash Talk. Not only am I the last guy in the world that would be caught talking smack (especially at a game I suck at), but the best part is I've never used my headset even once, I can't even figure out how to get the damn thing working. I have 25% quit early, and I've never pulled the plug in my life. I'd commit sepiku if I ever did. (though I have had disc read errors during loading, so perhaps it was a misunderstanding)

I've found that people think they deserve unlimited games with you and if you stop at (insert arbitrary number) then they think you've quit early.

 

on xbox 360 i only play vf5online 80% prefered, 20 % avoided, 4 %for trash talking, 36% unsporting,and 1% quit early lol. I check my sister profile 98%trash talker

 

A while back playing on my brother's 360, it was 100% bad rep. I was blamed for quitting early, when that was far from true. It's not like I cared really, but was funny actually. Reputation systems are flawed anyway.

 

I have 25% Quit Early and 75% Aggressive I think. I can only think of one instance where I didn't rematch someone and it was because of lag. I fought him again later anyway because there was nobody else to play with. The latter is just ridiculous since you're supposed to be aggressive in fighting games.

22% avoided me. Out of these:

14% trash talk (I dont use a mic ever)
9% aggressive
38% unsporting
19% quit early.

Funny how these numbers dont add up to 100..

 

rep is only there for comedy imo

at one point I had like a 55% avoid rate. people care too much.

 

My Rep had actually went up, playing VF, as opposed to other fighters where it went down... especially UMK3.

 

Funny how no-one gives a shit.
