what improvements will the 360 version have

the ps3 version is an aracde port and the arcade is native 720p guaranteed. This means the frame rate and textures coming out of soft image (the software they used to create the game) are optimized for 720p. Unreal 3 is a very very expensive engine. There's nothing in Unreal specifically that helps production for the PS3, so I'm bit perplexed why companies are "forced" to get it.

I was part of an expert group that had to evaluate what engine we would use when the price on the liscence increased. The only reason we kept using it after the price hike was because we didn't have time to train people on a new engine and restart the map development.

 

Well can you upload it in 1080P? I mean I know mac downloads for quicktime movie are actually in 1080p format with no compression. Anyway all gamespots HD videos are maesly 720p so "BWAHAH" go fuck your mother you little faggot.

It kind of struck me that Sony made the PS3 difficult to develop for so that you would get more progression in quality over time.

TBH though, I think after ATI and NVidia have been at each others throats for the last few years, whether a game looks good has more to do with the quality of the artists than any hardware issue.

You'll more than likely see the same thing you saw with the PS2 and the original x-box. The 360 games will get better in a linear fashion, while the PS3 will have plateaus then huge jumps.

In short, you're right, we will more than likely see bigger leaps with the PS3; however, it's wrong to assume that the 360 won't be improving in the meantime. They'll stay pretty close to one another.
