Highly likely that if you're a competitor, your fare to get in is included. In Canada, our WCG Nationals were part of a huge anime and comicon called Fan Expo - competitors got in free throughout the weekend.

The thing to keep in mind when reading what Llanfair wrote is that WCG Canada is very, very, very poorly organized. If they can arrange free passes I would be very surprised if WCG US could/did not.

I'm sure it was statistically based on how far you got and how many times you got that far. I made it to the final four something like 5 or 6 out of 7 attempts.

I wouldn't give them that much credit... I'm guessing they just picked people randomly out of people who made it to the finals for the various qualifiers, or possibly with a bias toward well known players in the VF community. Anyway, I wouldn't take it personally that you didn't get asked.

So, I'm leaving in just three days, and I'm kind of wondering how people plan to get in touch when we get there. I think exchanging cell phone numbers would be a good idea. Anyone up for a cell phone number exchange? If you are a confirmed contestant, PM me your number, then I will PM you mine. That way we can get in touch with each other once we get there.

By the way, I'd still like to know if anyone staying at the hotel can confirm for me that they are definitely bringing their 360 with them to the event. If not I will bring mine, although I'd really rather not considering how many local players there are.

Hey NYC crews~
I'm wondering how can I get the hotel from NYC-LAGUARDIA airport?
Can I easily take a sub during the night time? Or should I book a taxi in advance? btw, does anyone know how much it cost by taxi?

taxi to manhattan is in the 35 doller range depending on where in manhattan you're going. I have family so I'm going to stay there . Any of you guys know what time the tourny is supposted to be at? I'm not in it but i'm going to be in town so I'd like to watch and maybe meetyou guys.

Dennis0201: I'm planning on just catching a taxi at the airport. New York is full of them, after all. Although, if anyone knows of a better way to get directly from the airport to the hotel, I'm open to suggestions.

I know the place on friday opens at 1pm and closes at 7pm and sat it opens at 10am to 7pm so maybe the tourney will be like in lunch time,dont really know.

If you guys want you can hop on the train to there if you want to save money up

Take the A train to 34 and penn station then walk to 11av
