    Smash Upper. Safe on block, plus on hit and gives him a MASSIVE combo on CH. Where is the risk in Jacky the isn't there with every other character? He's not high risk compared to any other character in the game. And that's before you add the fact he's harder to combo than your average character now as he doesn't have the large hurtbox he did in vanilla.

    He actually has more safe stuff he can start combos with than smash upper but i'm just using that as a single example.

    um no LOL Its -6 on block. its not safe AT ALL. u must be thinking of vanilla or evo.

    Also, -6 is considered 'safe', I think. 'unsafe' means that there's guaranteed damage available after having it blocked. At least that's how I've always interpreted it.

    There's a difference between being unsafe and being at disadvantage. This only means it's no longer your turn to attack. There's no guaranteed punish for it.

    Fail......you've never fought me before so you wouldn't know. I misinterpreted what he was talking about. I though he mean safe as in 0frames or higher. not safe as in non punishable.

    Yes i do indeed mean exacty what i posted. Just write your question out in plain english as best you can and someone will try to answer it. If it's a statement make it, again in plain english.

    this would break the game if you think about it for example a common scrub strategy for goh is to get a counter hit for his 6[K] ( which can be really easy ) this will force your foe into a crouch giving you enough frames for a crouch throw goh will do 2[P][+][G] into tsukami and they will do either [4_][P][+][G] or [6_][P][+][G] for over 100 damage a good way to stop this is to throw break but if your idea was applied they counldent and goh noobs would be spaming this for ridiculous damage this is just one thing it would affect their are tons others like pais 46[P][+][G] but i dont have the time to get in to that right now

    ^Point, I didn't think about those situations where you can force an advantage like that. Although I do imagine if something like this were implemented they would change moves like that to stop abusing throws (make that state unthrowable or something for example).

    And I'm so guilty of abusing that with with Goh when playing casuals with friends, but I'm learning to use his 3KP instead now :)

    once again that change would be to drastic
    cuz goh and pai have no more options and have just the right amount of frames for a throw
    i dont blame you balancing a game is very hard
    one small change can crumple everything
    i think they should make the throw system different for each character
    its realistic and they can give throw based chars an advantage
    make some character break a foes throw easier like aoi ( since that is what aikido is based on)
    and make some chars throws harder to break for foes like wolf
    but this may have problems to

    I guess AM2 will mess around with throw exe frames more if a VF6 comes out. Wolf is a special candidate for this, as he already has 9/10/16f throws to fiddle with. I could imagine some similar stuff with Blaze & Aoi may be implemented too. Extended wall carries spring to mind too.

    As I'm more into yomi (=guess) than exe speed I actually like the new throw system pretty much. Regarding evade cancel BS, wouldn't a more saturated spread (ie for every character?) of pretty fast mid half circulars do the trick? I guess there needs to be a bigger ECDC punishment outside low throw characters too to balance things a bit. Also, BD killing with sidekicks should be more easier than it is, with some actually working punishment for fast strugglers. Many base idea in FS seem quite sound for my liking, so in many cases I yearn for more of the same with some general ironing out. AM2 still makes my fave Fgame (no pun intended).

    But really Sega, balancing out out Akira (13f GB!!!), Taka (16f 4P+K P!!!) Lion (426P, some mixups) and Jacky overall BS + generally ironing out some of the nastiest combo dmg and general over-safety (Brad, Vane) would work too. Buffing the seemingly weaker cast shouldn't be too hard either.

    I'm a bit annoyed with low float combos with ground touches. Are these techable or not? Should we even care? Bounces are a stylish idea to expand combo variety but adding unclear animations is not. Some interactivity inside combos would be cool, but there should be a clear element to point things out IMO.

    I still guess the real big question is how things overall will turn out in an iteration with big necessary changes (VF6 will certainly be more of a new game, not just an update like FS). Chars will be made even more different, yet peeps overall want them still remain kinda "balanced" regarding the most important risk/reward guesswork. It's a tough call, as Sega needs the game to be played a lot too, so beefing the most popular characters and "the Capcom tactic" of making the game deliberately a bit more unbalanced is a real possibility.

    The trend for developers is not really to make the best game possible, but a game that will be played a lot. Do the Japs really care about perfect game balance anyway? US players enjoyed MvsC2 for years although no one claimed it was balanced. I guess Japs are necessarily no different in that sense. Enjoyment is for majority of players a lot more than just a fair and balanced system, relatively rare people care too much about that. Only a small minority of players are really competitive players in any game.

    I predict FS will become "real VF" and VF6 will be "scrub shit" when it comes out. Much like arguements of past moons concerning the changes from VF2->VF3, VF3->VF4, VF4->VF5,VF5->FS.
