Literally same here, vf5fs netcode worked way better for me in comparison. Sega fucked up the netcode hardcore.

Come SEGA put rollback netcode on VF5US to make the perfect game. I really wish this happens in a near future when the popularity and hype are still going.

GG Strive is releasing next week, a game that can be played online all around the globe, just saying.

    Meanwhile Sega..

The netcode is not doing very well for me. I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. So my chances to get decent connection matches are fighting with people from Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and central Argentina mostly.
In any case, I played ranked for 2 hours last night and I got all green 4 bar connection. Yes, all of them. Here are the bad news, it was like playing underwater. The delay was unbearable. I couldn't confirm jabs after launchers, movement felt super sluggish, frame data was heavily compromised by the delay also.
I'd say I was playing with 150-170 ping, which is NO WAY a 4/4 green connection by any means. They need to fix this shit to show the connections properly.

Edit: picture of lobbies at 10AM showing lots of 4 green bars. I could bet my right hand none of those guys are from south America to begin with...

Anything less that the best connection has noticeable delay unfortunately. This netcode isn't fine.

lol. Yeah, now that the honeymoon period is over, I'm glad people are starting to be more critical about it. Change won't happen unless people are critical.

Like there are good connections in US west Europe and Japan but other players in South America and Eastern Europe or Middle East will slow things down and cause issues.

The relay based code is inconsistent

Rest in peace my friend. Sega doesn't want to prioritize the world. They think Vf fans are west eu na and jp only.

I'm in Algiers, so i'm super close to google ports in Europe. Even my EU and US friends are telling me the netcode is shit. I feel bad specially for those live in middle of Africa/ Far for Sao Paulo and Russia and north asia, can't imagine how bad it is for those specially. It's like this game was designed mostly for Japan for the most part huh? Sega being Sega as usual..

But yeah, i'll keep play until 9/6, if shit doesn't improve i'm gonna go full GG strive, if Sega doesn't give a fuck about VF i can't help it, specially since this game is fully based on online play with no single player modes.

BTW from where is that tweet above? Is that Japan, cause seems it's Arcade Cabinet.

What's fucked up here, and i don't even know if Sega realize this super logic, is that if the netcode is shit people will drop the game, less playerbase, less potential to sell futur DLCs (just imagine how many ps+ users dropped the game after trying their first games and see how much it's laggy, and for reminder Playstation brand is very worldwide), but if the netcode was really good, more people will keep playng, and more people will buy DLCs, i personally was planning to buy all DLCs to support the game, but considering how laggy the netplay is there is no way i'm buy any VF5US dlc ever again, unless they go rollback of course that would be another story but for now.

I've played 50 games and had 1 semi laggy match.

    The netcode has been brilliant

The no rollback netcode is the number 1 problem in this game so I hope SEGA takes advantage of the hype they are getting right now to implement rollback or else I don't see a future for VF to be honest. It's sad because for years I wanted and still want VF to succeed. Listen to the fans.

Played with a deutch player in room, it was 3 bars but it was better and more playable than most my rank matches that were 4 bars, weird.

I haven’t tried online much so I still can’t have a good judgement on it. But many here are having issues and it’s pretty much legit issue.

so if you want to complain, don’t take your complains to RGG-Studio. They got nothing to do with coding the game. They only did the visuals.
Take your complains to the chief producer (Seiji Aoki) or to the official VF Twitter channel.

I read in the tweet that there was significant lag people in sweden. Anyone else that can share their opinion on this?
