@Electric Leo: just try to find if there's a "record" option for the dummy.

I work for Sega Europe as a tester :p although my name isn't in this game even though I worked on it, it's on the PS3 version in the manual and Credits.

As for the game itself, it feels more complete than the PS3 version. Me and the other testers did feel the same way too so this was a nice change. Online play is really good, I played with my friends who have it already online in local matches and it hardly had lag, you can play like someone's next to you. However you will get lag playing someone abroad but thats expected anyway. Items in quest mode are better and you start off Quest mode with 50 Grand as we all know it's a pain to earn money back in the PS3 version. Err what else... I can't think of anything else right now...it looks nice on my HDTV?! no seriously it does, lol. Love VGA.

Thanks for the detailed write-up on training. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif

    No recording = boo.

Also, why has there never been "CPU reacts to hit with X" or "CPU reacts to blocked counter attack with X"? So useful. So missing. So too bad. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_down.gif

Thanks! Saves me from fumbling through the options. Also, good call on the private match, I hadn't checked that.

I have to say, I've got tons of money this time around. Tons.

"Also, why has there never been "CPU reacts to hit with X" or "CPU reacts to blocked counter attack with X"? So useful. So missing. So too bad."

There is - you can specify that he replies with just a mid, or a split of mid and throw, or other attacking options. It might not be completely comprehensive, but it's reaasonably sufficient. Also, were it not for VF4 Evo I think it's worth considering that VF5's training mode is still easily the best training mode in any fighting game ever made.

I was not clear enough. There is (and has been) a setting where the CPU GUARDS and then attacks back. I'm looking for a setting where the CPU can be HIT by, say, an MC /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and THEN counter attack with X move.

RagingSilver, thanks very much for taking the time to write down the training options.

It seems to me that the only new things available are the foot settings, and the option to specify whether or not the CPU does an "exact" recovery. In the PS3 version, the CPU always does an exact recovery.

Both of these are really nice options to have IMO, although still not having a record/play option is a royal pain in the ass! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

I remember reading somewhere that you could also specify which throws the CPU uses against you? Can someone confirm or deny this? It may be a sub-option under the "Guard and counterattack 4 or 5" (CPU can throw after guarding).

    Thanks.

Pardon my ignorance, but was there suppose to be a "Bingo Mode" in this version? I remember seeing a vid about that...

Thanks for the info Raging Silver.
Without a record option training mode is pretty lame, all games 2D/3D have record now, this should be one of the first thing to include... I play CVS2 nowadays, the game is like 7 years old and has a record option...
No record option = really harder/close to impossible to play high level in west imo.
I wonder if japanese players have asked about this option, during the last months (I guess they must have) and what was SEGA's answer...

There was a section for specifying throw direction, definitely.

I've not lost 100 times yet, so can't say. Not sure I want my lose ratio down there just yet /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

There's no bingo section, though there is Score Attack, which is basically Arcade mode but with three character-specific routes to choose from. Score is ranked on Live.

    Couple of questions regarding replays:

    1. Can you transfer match replays easily, like copy to a removable device like you can on PS3?

    2. Are the replay file sizes still in the order of 2 MB per match like they were on PS3 (thanks to the stupid bloated images)?

I got a couple questions as far as items are concerned from anyone who has been playing extensively.

I was wondering if they increased the amount of orb discs available compared to the PS3 version.

Also from some of the ver C arcade videos you can see that new chests become available that have multiple locks on them that are slowly unlocked after winning or losing a match, are these chests available in the 360 version?

Also has anyone messed with the profile backup feature so you can bring your custom characters to other consoles?Do you need an official 360 memory card or are you able to use any USB device like a flash drive?
