Dam, so Sega decided to screw the PS3 owners. Adding a ver.C patch would be the right thing to do.

A PS3 patch would be the right thing to do, but what I think is entirly more likely is that they will release the version C as a patch but only available through the Playstation Store for like 10$ or something.

So, we are very happy that we can finally respond to these requests. Please consider this feature as a present for the North American fans! </div></div>

Heh, and who said complaining about the lack of a feature would never create change?

Earlier I said the PS3 version was a half baked port, now its pretty much a heap of raw dough.

As a VF fan I cant say Im pleased with being slapped in the face for my patronage. They expect me to drop another $60 for online play and a few balance tweaks, they got another thing coming. Ill get the T5DR online update (which if FAIR because its $30 new, or $10 + your original $20 purchase) and be satisfied with that. Tekken as a whole probably wont be as hampered by lag anyway.

Bottom line, VF5 seems to be pretty much a console flop, worse than its PS2 prequel releases. This announcement is a last ditch effort to expand the userbase in the US and Euorpe.

But seriously, they need a FREE patch to the PS3 version. I can accept not having online play due to the state of the PS Network and its free concept, but I want the new training mode, version update, and any other single player options.

boy oh boy, best news of the day and some of yall piss on it. "we need the community to grow" god forbid 360 people get it with online, and better support from ms. maybe it will hit some major tournys, not the ones in peoples houses

of course it is! released on a expensive system, with no online(which fucks it in america right there) we dont have arcades to play anyone, so why buy a 600 buck system to just play ya self?

I share some of the sentiment of Sudden_Death and Ice9. As a 360 owner this is the mother load. When it was first announced that VF5 was coming to both consoles I was greatly relieved that I wouldn’t have to fork out for another console (PS3) that, besides from VF5, didn’t possess any titles that I was keen on owning. When news of the 360 version being Version C came about I was pretty chuffed, but never in my wildest dreams did I believe that an online mode would become a reality. This has knocked me for six and as I type this I’m grinning from ear to ear.

As Ice 9 so eloquently put it; the programmers were wrong. It’s the hardcore enthusiasts here that’ll truly notice the issues with online play, but as an option in and of itself, it’ll be welcomed by the average Joe and can only help the community as a whole. As for the early adopters on the PS3, I can only hope that they’ll receive a patch. I don’t believe it’d be hard to do and as mentioned already I’m sure the Japanese PS3 owners will whip up a storm too.

Microsoft, whether it’s due to a hell of a lot of money changing hands, black magic or both, they’re making some good decisions and deserve a pat on the back for archiving what I thought would be impossible a year ago. Kudos.

Well time to subscribe to Verizon Fios.
Bye Bye Road runner. Namco thank you for lighting a fire under Sega's behind. (You know Tekken5 Dr and Soul Calibur 4 are the reason for this).

If you have a 360, then yes, I'm happy for you. I have a PS3 and I'm pissed that my version of the game sucks so much comparatively.

    PS3 maybe Rev C.
But online play, that's another thing.

I'm glad they released it on 360, I'm glad they spent the time to make the game look better, have better support and functionality, and most of all Online is a huge plus.

People will go nuts over this.

here here! i just feel sorry for those guys who plumped for sony's ovepriced piece of shit console.

this isn't sega's deal, sony fcuked up big time on ps3...major japanese publishers are now dropping the platform like a flaming turd.

arrogance will never win the day...that's sony's major failing.

also, a wee note to those so-called informed VF experts who claimed virtua fighter would never make it online:

"away and don't talk a load of shite!"

cant wait to see if this game will have decent online play. i still think online play shouldve been implemented in the beginning. so that sega wouldve had more time to work on online play. we shall see how VF5 plays online.

i am glad that people who own a microsoft console will finally be able to play VF though. im happy for the 360 owners in that regard. it sucks however for the people who had faith in the PS3. like myself.

i guess if you have a choice the 360 versions of any game will be better than the PS3 version. thats how i see it so far. i dont even know if the PS3 will be able to keep any of its exclusives. as far as im concerned every PS3 exclusive will be made for the 360.

not only that but the 360 versions of the games will be improved over the PS3 versions. i feel like i wasted 600 dollars. i dont really need a blue ray player. i bought the PS3 because its a gameing console and the PS2 was such a great console.

it seems sony only cares about its japanese consumers. if you live outside of japan then your pretty much screwed. its not just the games either. look at all the firmware updates the PS3 needs. everytime theres an update it also comes with a glitch.

what about the people who live outside of japan sony. what are you going to do for them. i guess this time around sony wont cater to consumers outside of japan. i guess sony only cares about its japanese fanbase. screw everyone else huh sony.

we paid 600 dollars for a blue ray player. some of us bought the PS3 for games sony. it is a gaming console after all. im not going to lie im not going to play VF5 for PS3 as much as i use too.

especially when i know theres a better version of the game coming out in a couple months. sorry everyone for the long post and lack of punctuation.

I like Sudden Death have waited a long time for the 360 version. To be honest I would rather have the VHGS available rather than online play, but if it has online play I don't mind.

Overall I am really happy about the other changes (version C, training mode improvements, mobile profiles). I feel I didn't make a poor choice when I choose to wait.

I do not own VF5 so I cannot practice it at all when I'm home. So these past 6 months of I have spend traveling to other peoples houses and playing real people. I have played the VF computer probably.... 3 times. And only to see what it is like. I have play humans probably a thousand times lol. I do not regret my decision, I saved a ton of money, am going to be getting alot of nice bonuses, and I got to practice with almost 100% human comp the whole time.
