VF5 on Xbox 360

Meh.

I bought a PS3 for VF5. Other than VF5, no game in the past few years deserve any attention tbh (what comes close to Fallout, Myth, TFC, or Dues Ex?! Answer: VF and that is it).

I'm glad that I've been able to play a fucking great game months before many people waiting for the 360 version, got to travel, and most importantly: play and meet great people. As far as I'm concerned, that was the best 700 dollar purchase I could have ever made.

Speaking of traveling to play: how about we play this weekend?

 

you got it. whenever you have time we can play. believe me im not bashing the PS3. i just think you guys should have more games to play by now. thats all im saying. the reason i keep saying it is because from the first time i stated this there hasnt been a change. that was months ago. i wouldve thought that their would be some games on the PS3 by now.

sebo if you want we can even start playing VF5 on the 360 when its released. i never said i would embrace online play. i was always against it but some people cant live without it. so this is a good feature for them. more than anything it will stop the whole why isnt VF5 online topics. sorry if i offended some of you but the reason i keep saying the PS3 doesnt have many games is because it still doesnt.

its nothing against PS3 owners its just not cool having only two good games on a console thats been out how long now? the worst part is im still waiting for more games to be released on the PS3. im mean how long is it going to take? dont take it personal like i said the only reason i bring it up again and again is because there still isnt any games. i mean it pissed me off because i waited a long time for games to come out on my PS3.

see im not billionaires like you guys. if i buy a console for 600 dollars i expect more games than this. i wouldnt be able to post when is the PS3 going to have games to play on it if the PS3 had games to play. i also thought it was pretty screwed up that VF5 on the 360 had so many features that the PS3 was lacking. regardless if the PS3 version came out first.

i love playing VF5 on the PS3 at my friends houses. at least my friends can admit that it sucks that the PS3 still has no games. one of my friends told me yesterday that his PS3 just sits there and collects dust. i see what your saying sebo but now VF5 is on the 360. not only can you play VF5 but theres other games you can play too.

Well, not yet. And, though there are more games for the 360: there aren't any other games worth playing anymore on any platform, period.

1. All FPS are stupid and have been done to death. The last decent one I can name is Hidden and Dangerous 2 (PC 2003), only because it was what a Commandos FPS was supposed to be like.

2. All modern RTS seem to go back to the same formulas: collect shit, build shit, rush shit, MICRO shit. The last worth while RTS was Myth 2: Soul Blighter (1998).

3. Tactical RTS, where the fauck are you? Where is a match for X-Com or Jagged Alliance or Close Combat 1-4, oh wait. Last somewhat decent one was Fallout Tactics (2001).

4. Simulators used to be of interest, but they become predictable. "Oh shit, I'm flying." Last one worth a shit was Red Baron 3D (1998). As far as combat simulators are concerned, nothing beats Operation Flashpoint (2001). Sure the developers made Armed Assault, and are working on OFP2, it is only going to be the same thing.

5. Sports games have always sucked. Fuck EA. The only game from the genre that is worth looking at is Arch Rivals imho (not kidding).

6. Platformers went down hill after Commander Keen.

7. Turn Based strategy reached the apex with Worms World Party. <u>Nothing</u> comes close.

8. MMOs are stupid. Lets play a pay-per-play version of Runescape. CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK

9. The last adventure game worth a site is a toss up between Leisure Suit Larry 5, King's Quest VII, Quest for Glory IV, and or Grim Fandango.

10. Rhythm games are stupid.

11. RPG... I only need to say the magic word: Fallout.

I agree with that statement, there really isn't. When I sit down and compare the games I use to pick up back in the day compared to the amount I actually pick up today(or even care about)its drastically different, of course I am a much smarter consumer these days. Mainly picking up what I enjoy and going to get most bang for my buck(certain Fighters like VF5_GGAC) or something Multi-player my friends will be picking up(like Halo_Shadowrun) otherwise, I usually don't bother. Different strokes for different folks though.

What can I say? I like competition. And with that said, for those playing this on Xbox Live, see ya there.

is there a record option in training mode? like in evo? they say training mode had been improved but they dont go into details much...

Damn good question. I hear they're putting back the tutorials, but I don't remember where I heard that. Obviously you don't want to take that as gospel.

Don't think they are gonna do that, a demo after the game is released maybe, but not before.

A demo takes up dev time, and right now I think they are using the time now and before the game is out to tweak the game fix bugs etc.

Actually, no, it won't. However, it's easy to mod. Install guts of X360 controller and you're good to go.

They said they will have final code ready before TGS and that is like only a month away so I am sure it is nearly done at this point.

 

Yeah, they are releasing in October and TGS is late september.

Gamespot has some new footage of VF5 for the Xbox 360, live demonstration.

It shows of the versus offline, leading up to a match.
They show the quest mode stuff as well.

While they are demoing the game they talk about some of the new features, and answer some questions.
