VF5 FS Akira Bodycheck

Surprisingly he still lost the round though.

 

Yoho combo was serious business.

Bodycheck doesn't seem to improve his game at all over anything he already had in R.

 

One thing i never understood about bodycheck, it's suposed to be a "BK" class attack yet akira never counts as backturned, doesn't get back crumpled on sidekick CH, nor recovers BT

 

Watch what happens if Aoi midreverses bodycheck.

 

Yes, bodycheck can kill noobs in 5 secs. If that's your priority and then go ahead.
Yes, noobs can abuse bodycheck at first, but when they realize they can't rely on this move constantly, they will leave this game.

What's your point against bodycheck in FS?
A) It's not fair cuz Akira is the only character has messive move.
B) This bodycheck setup is cheap, and nonsense.

If you belong to group A, basically you are just jealous You love this fucking damn damage and you can't wait to utilize it on your character. However, AM2 only gives this extra credit on Akira so you hate it.

If your answer is B, and let me remind you we already have one setup which is called "evade OMK" in vanilla, and I bet you are not unfamiliar with this. After the successful evade, OMK is 16f and it can cause nearly half life damage but only -13 on block. PK is the only guaranteed if throw escape is considered. Let's go back to bodycheck in FS, 17(18)f after successful evade and take maximum half life bar with -32 on block. Now you tell me which one is cheap and nonsense?

Bodycheck is not for free in FS, but definitely would give it a shot. Take the responsibility when you fail and enojoy it when you are lucky, that's it.

I'm also welcome to see what's the reasonable damage and disadvantage do you think Akira's bodycheck should be in FS? The presupposition is make this move alive, not the dead one in vanilla. Also keep in your mind his yoho is 18f and -15 on block plus it can take 90 to 100 damage.

the low kick from the canned followup to stumbling throw/hit throw/shin iha is +16, and the d+P+K+G break guard is +13, no longer shaking stick... I wonder if the f+P+K+G break guard is the same

i wonder id it's possible to dodge/interrupt the low kick/mid punch after those throws. +3 seems like a meager reward for guarding the punch, if that's the only option

 

Akira players still seem to think this feature is A-ok. Like i said when FS is flipped and Akira is played more relentlessly i expect to see bodychecks frequently (Especially on Failed Evades which is a big counter.). You will hear a lot of bitching and moaning from everybody. It does'nt matter if Akira keeps losing in these vids shown. Its only because players are using him according to R. Soon his FS nature will become present and very scary.

Fighting against Akira this time around will require Fuzzying heavy.

Yes Whenever playing against You guys. Alot of Akira players online played in set patterns and flowcharts.

 

I asked about this also. According to Feck you only get counter hit on failed evades if your move has a half or full circular property.

Counter hit bodycheck damage on a failed evade would be too much if that wasn't the case.

 

Not according me, according to the people that have played the game and posted info here.

 

A lot of features are brand new and FS might be the worst game in VF5 series or beyond R/Vanilla, time will tell.

Akira players require fuzzy too cuz his dash elbow is major weapon.

Btw, do you really want Jacky's back flip K has the same properity as bodaycheck? 18f and -32 on block? I'm curious.

 

No not on start up Dennis Bodycheck is slower plus the input time.

 

Bodycheck is slower compared with his yoho plus it seems no evasive property. Both attack can easily launch near 100 damage but huge difference between -15 and -32.

If every character has the same massive damage move, that means VF is going to dead.....

 

Who cares if Akira loses in these bodycheck videos.

It's random uploads, that have a bias for entertaining and close matches.

Wait for FS tournament footage/streams of Akira.

Some of you guys are crazy man, we've all played a version of VF before, we ALL know how to land a CH for a move 17-18f(that's the speed of the move right?).

Nitaku two times, Akira.

No need to flop a combo or get nerves and drop a floating body. Somebody could get nerves and not even punish the bodycheck for all it's worth, especially if it came out offguard. Even if you have an eternity. People barely punish somersaults in video footage, yes even in the land of the rising sun.

Lastly, sometimes it's not even about using the move in the match, it's about NOT using the move in the match and taking advantage of the fact that the move is possible.

I don't even care though, cause theoretically, bodycheck just feels like how some skewed risk/rewards can be in vanilla... you know what I'm talking about.

 

Which reminds me, with throw clash gone DS now beats throws
