I think that's why it looks below the belt, the hit effect is but the actual punch wasn't.

I'm sure given a little time you could make this even 100% better... WOW! I'd take this over a FS sound track any day. Good shit! Send it to Sega!


As for my overall impressions on FS music per character;

Akira - We went from shitty carnival music which was tolerable to utter crap.
Aoi - painful to listen too. I'd rather hear the sound of Aoi breaking my bones than this shit.
Brad - I think I heard this and if memory serves me right it was terrible, terrible, terrible
Dural - haven't heard it yet, but if it's not on the level of VF4:EVO - FT soundtrack then I'm sure it sucks.
Eileen - LOLZ man it just keeps getting worse
El Blaze - The only one so far that's getting a pass marker from me. What the hell I'll give it one thumbs up.
Goh - really it's like they can't decide which direction to go with his sounds. At one point it's hardcore rock, then it's SUPER HARDCORE FEET STOMPING ROCK... now it's just a whole bunch of retard sounds throw today with a prayer to god that it works. Worse Goh theme yet!
Jacky - ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Really I'm laughing.....
Jean - haven't heard it yet! I thought his original was bad, so I really don't care what they do to it. I'm sure anything at this point will be an improvement.
Jeffry - Christ Sega... just give him a monkey suit item already with a banana tree hanging off his back or a bunch hanging from his hip already. We went from Jeffry representing reggae to fucking Tarzan jungle music. Really Sega? Who approves this crap? VF2 Jeff music seriously was one if not the best track ever created for the VF franchise.
Kage - ppffftt ok fine I'll throw out another pass marker I guess. This team reminds me of his EVO theme. The first time you hear it you absolutely hate it, but the more you hear it it just grows on you. Ok I'll say I like it I guess.
Lau - It's been bad since VF4 till now. Oh what I wouldn't give for a revised VF2 or VF3 track for this bad ass mother fucker.
Lei Fei - R nailed it and FS put it right back in the shit house.
Lion - Don't think I heard it yet, so I won't comment.
Pai - just gonna shake my head at everything... the stage *smdh* the music *smdh*
Sarah - I'm not a Sarah player, but damn am I pissed! No matter which VF you look at there has always been one thing that's been pretty consistence. Sarah usually gets some very good if not bad ass tunes. Well I guess all good things come to an end as the saying goes.
Shun Di - haven't heard it, but nothing has topped his VF3 track in a long time.
Taka - I'll go easy on the fat man since he just made his return not to long ago. Here is to hoping he can get something nice like his VF3 track. Shit was dope!
Vanessa - Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Wolf - can't remember if I heard it yet.

 

I heard the Dural FS track and I thought it was the worst one yet it was horrid. As for the Sarah FS theme its definitely the worse as far as Sarah tracks go but its still better than most of the FS crap (which isn't saying much). In VF5R Jeffery stage sounds like it was supposed to be a track from Donkey Kong Country but now in FS it sounds even worse as if thats the song that should be playing if you were stuck in a jungle surrounded by retarded Monkeys

Looks like all the kuzushi followups are gone. I tried to do m-dbpm input after, but couldn't get it to come out right away.

The new sgpm->elbow is shown on the 2nd FS vid from Sega (Akira vs Wolf) @ 0:24. I get it out once on one of my vids too I believe.

No prob. I'm really liking this version and all the new places where Akira can transition into backstep makes things much more interesting imo.

I just wish Sega would let you save more matches. You can only request one per day per arcade.

ah i see the move now. did not recognize it because i thought it was part of a new string. the first part looks like Akira is almost striking with his fist and knee at the same time, correct? what's the input for it now?

Sadly I can´t say that I like ANY of the new soundtracks I heard so far (I miss one or two..), and its not better with the stages.

The stages are not really bad, but they are a step back from R, because they are a bit ordinary.
I miss stuff like the fog on Aois- or the snowstorm in Wolfs stage.
Or just differnt daytimes like jeffry and kages stages on sunset.
The only stages that looks really sweet is Lei stage. Brads also looks not bad.

I hope that its possibe to use the soundtrack of R, if the soundtrack doesn´t change.

Akira's gotta catch up with Goh and Jean in terms of being 'badass'... Sega's trying to show cats why Akira is the posterboy for VF...

 

Listening to Akira's song reminded me of The Rumble Fish 1 or COTA (Psylocke's stage)... The moonlit stage (I believe it's Pai's stage) reminded me of the 2p mode in Bushido Blade 1... I think Brad's stage music is the worse though... It sounded like someone laced a beat with some orchestra warm up exercise....

Of course, it has to be done on a female character. Maybe add the SF II vomit effect.

 

Sounds to me like the music we've heard from FS could just be the midi arrangements from when they wrote the songs and they hadn't finished recording them in time for the location test.... maybe i'm being too optimistic though.

Well, about the appearence of the stages i wouldn't care too much. I remember the pai's stage in the earlier times when vanilla was going to come out, nothing special. Then Am2 fixed that and the stage received the proper light and stuffs.
The problem is about the music. Just Jeffry and Lei-Fei have a nice track imho. This can still be fixed if enough people show their disappointment with sega.
