Yeah I was hoping to do this but got kind of lazy thanks to my laptop randomly powering down. Guess I should have wrote it up in gmail or something that saves drafts regularly instead of using notepad.

I'm going to go through all the posts again and do an edit, could do with categorising the ideas better among other stuff. Lib said he'll help with the grammar, if you can help with anything let me know.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but that's what I meant by changing controls. My point is that I shouldn't have to do that. If I'm using the 1P controller with my button config, I don't want to have to change the 2P button config in the case I want to join a match.

Also in regards of saving replays: Make replay files deletable from within VF UI.

Being able to choose how much input lag we want would be nice. Would they have to build a new netcode for that or what. It's done in GGPO and HDR.

When you join someone's match, you are not supposed to be 1P anymore.

It would be nice if they gave everyone the opportunity again to get a profile named after you like they did with VF5. Also I'm really hoping they don't disable the PR feature. I'd like to have those little messages on my profile for people to read pre-fight or to at least be able to mention your team name if you are apart of one.

still the only features important to me are a god damn kick button and the same type of record features of VF4:EVO on PS2. I really loved how you could make 5 recordings and set the percentage for each of them on how frequently you wanted each recording to play back. Adding frames would be nice too and the chance to earn money / unlock items via online ranking matches.

That is irrelevant. Since only one person can join the online mode at a time, it should always use 1P controls anyway. I hate having to change the 2P controls back after an offline gathering with my friends, or forgetting to do so. >_>

It doesnt make sense that youre the same player, but your control scheme changes seemingly randomly..

You've raised a good point manji. Another thing Blazblue does right is that you can change the buttons on the character select screen, even in online play. This should be implemented in VF. That coupled with quick button setting would make the game very tournament friendly.

I would like for them to have a random select box for characters, because I want to permanently stay with that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the current netcode for VF5 uses input delay. How about they give us netcode like GGPO or something like it with rollback?

When there are bad connections on both sides, input delay and rollback both suck, but rollback is the lesser of the two evils.

I've never really had too much experience with GGPO but the 3SOE netcode has never been great for me. But the game seems to be really buggy in general. I went on today and found all my data was just...gone.

in the case of VF i think lag would be a lot better than rollbacks. Think about it; You've fuzzy guarded and ducked a jab. You react and attack. The game rolls back and decides your opponent was doing PPP, or PK and all of a sudden you're eating it on CH.

GGPO, in third strike online on xbl at least, throws consistant hitchecking out the window as well. I'd prefer predictable lag.

I used to be GGPO semi-regularly for ST, before I manned up and got in the A3 room. Played HDR(360) and, back then I hated roll back more than input, but when I did get good games in, it was a lot better than even the best connections I had with input delay and relized that roll back is just lesser of the two evils(there is some stuff that makes you want to throw baby through a wall), since when the connection IS GOOD, it blows away input delay.

From what I hear 3SOE is pretty terrible and some people are theorizing that Capcom had the company that did the port, do it shitty on purpose so people stop asking for GGPO, but that's only a small few. It was just bad implementation, on top of a being a bad port(from what I hear from...well, everybody).

Hopefully Skullgirls does a better job of implementing GGPO.

Oh wow, I know I'm late to the game, but this is amazing news. Time to dustoff the PS3 in anticipation? Any release date yet?
