Ahh I see the perspective your coming from. From a tourney players perspective
Xiang made people pull a lot of hairs. She was basically the go to character if you
were getting your ass kicked. Not necessarily because she was the best damage
potential wise, but because she was safe and easy to punish with. Question did
you and your buds use 2G and or the variable cancels in 3?

You know what? Thanks for the videos, marginal!

I honestly NEVER KNEW that you could cancel the great wall! that is already one of her most powerful moves for Xianghua, because when properly used, it basically whiffs nearly ALL B moves.

But combine that with the fact that you can cancel from a mid to a low move, or whatever you want to use, that easily makes it become one of the most powerful moves in the game -- combine that with an abusable 3B, and voila, NOW I see why she is so powerful in SC3.

I see that some of those Xiang nerfs in IV was necessary, but it doesn't really matter to me, since I never cancelled the great wall, or use 3B as much as the dude in that video.

As for your question, WorstPlayer, we never really used any of that. I need to look up 2G and variable cancel to see what those are for...

Np man, as with any game theres a big difference between the world of playing
with your friends and tournament level comp. (Generally speaking anyway.) VC's
were removed in the SC3 Arcade Version if I recall so no real reason to look it up.
2 G was simply a very easy and safe defensive technique that even caused horizontals to miss stepping opponents. But Yeah, soulcalibur.com used to be
the soulcalibur place to go tho.

Yeah, I figured that Mick and Thuggish Pond would make the point pretty quickly. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I would abuse 3B with every character not just X and I would be hated by all by friends as a combo fiend because of it. The cancels X has in SC3 remind me alot of Aoi cancels in VF, I know all about them and use them once in a while I do admit make a person think twice about acting too hastily leaving them open to lows or mids if they try to duck under a throw etc. I wouldn't abuse the cancels as much as the people in the videos do though even a decent person will catch on to what the enemy might do after a fake like when Aoi cancels her moves in VF.

It is a powerful move and I fully understand why X is considered to be as strong as she is in SC3 etc she happens to be one of my favorites too and if I had to play 1 character only it would either be X or Talim mainly.

As long as the Alexandra sisters and Xianghua get nerfed and Talim beefed up in Soul Calibur 4, then it'll be fine.

I would actually prefer to play male characters in SC most of the the time and I don't play girly characters as much as I want to. Besides sometimes it is so much more fun to crush an enemy flat with asteroth or send them flying away from about half a screen away with nightmare

By the way real men play every character proficiently not just the male characters or female characters that is my belief anyway

Not the case! Real men use the extra time to sex real women!

They've stated all of those. Talim's 2P is weird as hell though- she looks like a weird Evil Sailor Moon thingy.

    Hey, Hey, wait a-minute.

VF5 has two shades of Sun Tan lotion. You can make any
character as dark as you want right?

This is a legitimate question. I only play Lei-Fei and I know
I have two shades of sun tan lotion for him. So sometimes I play him dark and sometimes light /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I noticed that when I play him with the dark sun tan lotion I win more often ( I don't know what the explanation is though) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif
