VF5 Akira's advance stuff and combos (ver C)

    I got it to work by delaying the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, Yoho don't seem to work if I press /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. Those combos are pretty deadly though.

    I only just realised SPoD hits into the wall so now, I can do....

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif> wall hit > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif(release /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gifwithin 1 frame) 87 damage ( I think )

    Is there anything else you can do after SPoD then wall hit?

    EDIT: I'm not sure if this is an actual combo, I think there's a possibility the opponent could tech roll before the knee connects.

    If opponent hits the wall after the last hit it is a combo all right. (Note that wallstagger -> SPoD is not) You can also use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif shoulderram as on the ground hit instead of knee if you find it easier.

    I've been watching a lot of Akira matches on youtube and I keep seeing this combo....

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif(release /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gifwithin 1 frame)> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif

    What characters does this combo work on? I've been trying it in dojo against Akira but it's not working for me.

    Check the black book combos, it's in there. It says, that combo works on light weights in open stance... and up to Jacky or Akira(?) on a counter hit.

    No wonder I couldn't get it working on Akira, i'll try it the lighter characters.

    I dont think so, at least in ver.C. Knee floats lower than yoho, and they arent all that interchangeable in combos since VF5. Yoho - P - Knee - DbPm certainly works against most characters with counterhit, but with knee starter I dont think so.

    I think I'll never get to the point of hit-checkign and stance-checking. Seriously, it looks like insane skills to me.
    My juggle combos are really poor.

    I think it works on some characters... but not necessarily Jacky... at least I couldnt get it to work. Right now Im too lazy to test. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

    It still works. Light weight doesn't need counter hit. Midweights up to jacky requires open stance and counter hit. Lighter midweights (Goh, Brad and a few others I can't remember) can be done in either stance.

    What's going on with his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif catch throw? I know it's not a proper combo cause it's escapable but if you dash in and do another throw it combos... I don't get it.

    After the catch throw you can dash in do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif

    35 damage but it leaves them high in the air so you can follow with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or similar for big damage.

    ...or you can do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif

    70 damage I think, I couldn't do it again lol.

    Well, I think I heard this first from someone who heard it from Konjou Akira. Then I did some testing and found out that it works pretty nicely. Idea is to do a dash after the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and delay an exact amount, 11 frames at least, im not sure of the size of the window but it is like 1-2 frames long. This will cause the following throw to become a 0-frame throw and combo. Well of course its not a 'true' combo as you can escape the throw but it is so cool thing that I want to call it a combo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Jeneric almost squirted cola through his nose when I showed it to him, lol.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif - 11 frame dash - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gifx3 - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - DbPm = 90 points /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    Also, regarding /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> delayed yoho, I tested it a bit when I was in Sweden last weekend. After a bit Jeneric was ready to agree that it is a combo. In fact I have a matchvideo where I use it on jacky, hopefully Ill get the video uploaded at some point. Its one of those things that wont show as a combo on the lifebar but it is impossible to defend against (unless maybe if opponent is an Aoi, lol)

    Yeah using that catch thow for a throw combo is hilarious, people I play are starting to get used to it so their escaping the second throw a lot /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

    I still haven't got used to doing yoho after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/ /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, i'll have to practice that more.

    I think the turnaround body check -> Yoho isn't a "combo" since the opponent have time to recover, they just don't have time to turn around and guard the Yoho.

    Therefore it is a combo by definition, even if the lifebar or dojo combo meter doesnt say so :). Except maybe against Aoi who might be able to do a backturned midreversal to the yoho. On the other hand I think it is possible to do a dash->knee as well, which Aoi cant reverse.

    If yoho works then knee should too, it's 1 frame less than yoho. I'm gonna try it out.

    EDIT: Yeah it works, I find it easier than yoho. It doesn't float too high though so you'd have to end it with a simple combo like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif
