    ok in this video i saw something really weird. around the beginning of the match Joseph uses the catch grab follow up with sholder ram THEN he followed up with dash up yoho. Does that actually work???

    This is one of those mystical things. I can do that in training mode very well. Computer never manages to block it. On the other hand I dont trust training mode computer much. So far I havent been able to succesfully use it against people. If it does work, theres a trick of delaying the yoho for like 1-2 frames, otherwise it doesnt have the range required.

    Im not confident enough to say this is a real combo, and I hope people would test it.

    I forgot about this... if you time it right, in version B it will connect against most people.

    what you need to do is dash a tiny bit, so you can use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, then it should work, and it does lead to some crazy combos. Danny mastered this technique I think, maybe he can explain

    I notice that heavier characters are pushed shorter after Akira's catch throw and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif. Like VS Jeffrey, I could be a bodycheck after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif without dashing forward.

    I'm sure many of you have noted, after a catch throw against lighter character like pai, I have to do a small dash inorder for the bodycheck to connect where as I don't have to against opponents like Jacky.

    In japan, I've never landed a yoho after a catch throw against Pai or Kage. I strongly suspect that its character specific(not just weight) but haven't had a chance to sit down and test.

    Hmm you might have something there.. It didnt occur to me that it might be characterspecific (dunno why since most every combo is nowadays). Im gonna test this more.

    60 points.

    The combo works on everyone except Jeff Wolf. From Eileen to Akira. Im pretty sure it works better on lightweights in ver.C, the timing seemed harder in ver.B. Theres also slight typo in commands, you dont need crouchdash after low punch as Akira is already in the crouch.. To time it easier its better to do a dash after palm and interrupt it with low punch with suitable timing. Either somebody needs to update whats in VFwiki blackbook translations or we need to make something new..like this thread.. ^^ I'm sorry for the repetitions..

Possibly timing issue.

    As for the Lei/Brad combo, Im not sure about any requirements, I just decided to try it and it was working..lol.

    Oh dear. I didn't read the VF5 Akira Wiki. Way before the wiki came out we in SG already had the black book so I've already tested the combos on all the weight class. I've been doing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif on all middle weights up to Lau until I saw /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > */forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > Dbl palm in Osaka.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, you are trying to explain that you have to cancel the */forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif LATER against specific characters? I found that you have to cancel it later against Lei, Kage and Lion. Earlier for Lau, Goh and Brad. So troublesome(but way cooler) that I rather stick to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif with does the same damage. The easiest is Jacky and Akira with is done with no delay.

    The /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif combo on Brad is too damn hard for me. I can't get it consistently. I'll prefer to use the combos in ver C(using /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif) by Arcadia.

    The crouch dash is also in the black book because it doesn't want to mislead people into thinking its a 'new' /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif string. ie: /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. I think it simply assume that you should know that you are crouching after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. LOL

    Me? anyway I think you are right. I have had lot of trouble with this combo but Im starting to get the timing down now. There seems to be characterspecific timing indeed.

    Its not a true combo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif (But I know it hits without extra dashing against heavies)

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif on block -> (buffered) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif however is a true combo. Problem is that combo from this does less damage than /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif combos. Heh.

    (for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif only good guaranteed followups are kuzushi doublepalm and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif )

    I have done some testing in training mode with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> Yoho.

    Im starting to believe that you cannot turn around and block the yoho if its timed correctly (or the training mode CPU has something seriously wrong in it). However. I am not sure if its possible to avoid the yoho by dashing forward or using some attack to move away that doesnt turn back, like Lions /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. I cant test this in training mode solo. If someone could test this I would be grateful.

    the pull-in throw does 15 points, and its worth noting that the combo meter doesnt register /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif as a combo either.     Im still worried that its some glitch that makes training mode CPU eat the yoho on counter.. however, I have gotten floats both when CPU has been backturned and not (depending on timing, so theres more than 1 frame leeway). In all cases CPU was set to guard and stagger recovery on max etc.

    I couldn't get Yoho to work after that catch throw the other day but I didn't try much. I'll check out those combos, see if I can do them.

    You need to delay yoho for like 1-2 frames or it wont have enough range. Maybe /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or something, although I did it with just delaying the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif press a bit.

    You need to test with human players. Before I went japan, I could do them consistently on the ps3 with the CPU(tested on all characters) set to "guard always". Like I said, I can never land yoho against Pai, Kage.
