Thanks to no regular arcade session this rb's level of play was rusty to say the least, but it caused some close funny games.

semi 1:
Kneeninja vs Bk
Goh vs jacky
2-0 to knee, some close rounds need to see the videos after but was a hard macthup for bk and knee piled on some nice pressure with jackies flowcharts.

semi 2:
Gho vs Optimus
Pai vs shun
2-1 to gwai
Crazy machi match (imagine a game of bowls in slowmotion, that about summs it up lool!) , with missed oppurtunities on both sides, the rust was showing lol, came down to the wire pai wins last round with ring out booo!

3rd place:
Bk vs Optimus
Goh vs Shun
2-1 to Bk
Again right down to the last round, some very nice technical Goh play from Bk, nice comboes, flowcharts, setups etc , Optimus manages to hang on to take it to the last round just through instinct but loses on the wire.

Final
Gwai vs Kneeninja
Pai vs Jacky
3-1 to gwai
at one stage it was 1-1 Knee was looking quite good having (edward woodward) equalised it /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif , things were looking tense but Gho seemed to shake off the rust long enough to remind people why he won 2 times before, he stepped up and took the remaining 2 matches to win for a record 3rd time, boooo! only joking well done /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

p.s nice to see a new player hopefully another convert to vf, Jim the tekken player ,I think his name was? from up north near leeds, and good to see sham and raging silver making the effort to come down too.

LOL i thought the nifty shun was gonna take it, but to be honest im glad it wasnt gho facing me for 3rd place~!! lol~
good match tho, oli stoll the first round~ in a close counter.

it was a JOKE, 9th of june is englands game if i remember, but yea hevens forbid anyone misses seans birthday

 

I really enjoyed that session yesterday, I've never met decent VF players before. Some sick stuff going on, I look forward to learning more (gonna take Hatim's advice and hit the training mode). It was nice to win the odd game too!

I wish I could have stayed to see the rest of the tournie - got that sodding coursework done now, but I'm sooo tired after staying up all night. If I'd done it last week I could have stayed to the end and got a good night's sleep! Ah well, there's always next time.

Great meeting you guys, see you again. I'll keep checking these forums and maybe come down for some arcade sessions.
