I think that's why I don't play WOW or other stuff like it.

Yah, it was a funeral for a real person - kinda shitty for those involved. Yah, the funeral was held on a WOW server and publicized on a message board (?!) What? Did they not expect something like this?!

I have no idea where to stand on this - except "I think that's why I don't play WOW or other stuff like it."

I saw that video a while back, I for one would NOT like to be remembered through a MMO by people who are too lazy to give regards in real life. I believe the people who got bombed deserve it for their half hearted effort to respect someone.

Is it wrong to remember somone in game through a cerimony? now considering its on a PVP server they should have expected something like this , but not every Pvper has the time / money to go to the dudes funeral IRL.

Its like if somone said that a VFDC member died in the general forums, and everyone was posting their reguards then somone decided to flame the thread with stupidity. its an online forum and it happens but that doesnt mean the dude shouldn't have posted in the first place.

I'm guessing you checked with all of them to make sure. Piss on them for not at least sending cards.

It's sad that most Americans need this kind of stuff.

But I'm definitely not perfect, I had a rude awakening in Japan myself.

Every american just needs to get out more.

I had a recent discussion with my cousin who is into street racing and car modification... that's rice boy to you laymen. He mentioned some famous racing location he wanted to visit in Japan so I felt it necessary to remind him that he's visiting a foreign country where every step will be observed.

As much as that column is true I do feel that it goes both ways for foreigners who visit America and feel they're entitled to look down at us:

"Heh, stupid ignorant Americans" - hey pal.. some of us, not all of us. Same goes for you.

As much as I enjoyed my stay in Japan it was not void of its discriminatory moments... mainly when I rode public transit and played at the arcades. I held in an outburst when a man completely shoved me out of the way walking on the side walk. I was going to let him know how "american" I could be, but let it go when the thought of 100x Japanese screaming "get the gaijin!" popped in my head.

I love travel, but everyone country has their assholes.

P.S these were some general musings and not aimed at anyone.
