Syzgy, thanks for getting our questions answered. The update is great but in the end, sega held out on us on what can be mixed and matched costume-wise. It's also really a shame that it seems they are 'done' with this title.

 

While people may have the desire to change characters between matches every now and then, I beleive SEGA wanted to stick with amdahl's law and "optimize for the common case". Most people play only one character. Or that is their focus. So when they play online, the majority of the time they would just want to hit their same characters again. Having an extra screen layer between just fighting again would slow things down. Maybe a character select option? Although switching characters and reinviting someone really doesn't take much longer either.

I'm just getting nervous that SEGA doesn't want to be supporting us anymore. With their message that DLC3 pack is the last one, and most of their stuff is research for "future" endeavors, I really hope they choose to care about our community more with maintainance in the future, and not just the arcade scene.

 

I guess the simple fact is the Xbox 360 version didn't sell well enough to warrant continued support from SEGA.
