Glad (almost) everyone liked it.

The stream quality blows a little, but unfortunately that's sega, they cap it at 300 kbps and tell you so right up front. I think it's awesome they spend the time and money to do this though, I can't imagine how much bandwidth is raped from this 'podtv' outfit (if it's not just something sega owns). If I could do anything to increase the quality (e.g. not watch during download) I would have, but there isn't any trick to help when there's a cap /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif The long hitches and missed chunks of matches happened everywhere, my connection was pretty peaceful during the broadcast (no downloads, no outages etc)

To the guy asking how to view it, just save the file right right click --> save target as ... then try double clicking the file you saved while it's downloading.

re: times of all the matches - heh I barely know who's playing. Maybe dre wants to volunteer, he's good with names.

well, I downloaded this and had no problems. The picture drops or gets "smeary" sometimes but it is a net broadcast. I thought it rocked on.

Thanks Creed for providing it. I slept in (thankfully) and didn't watch it live and from what I've seen, no one else thought to record.

i just actually watched most of it, and it was really damn good.

stuff to point out,
chibita vs the kage was so intense. (1:10:00)

vf2 ownage kicked ass (1:55:00)

the vanessa vs lau match, the lau DOMINATES her the first two rounds. And somehow the vanessa squeaks by the last 3.

and the aoi and pai players that made it to the semis impressed me far more than the kage's that made it to the finals.

actually, the vf2 play made me sad. The tetsujin obviously don't lug out their arcade boards and play with friends on the weekend. Their skills were rusty. Would have been great to see some sarah or shun play.

Despite some lag here and there (which is normal) i'd say Creed did a great job. There's no way i could've watched the event if it wasn't for his efforts. Thanks again bro.

I cant see the .asx's

Is there a certain codec or media player or something? I've tried it on 2 different computers now and I just get a black screen. I can hear the sound but no picture.

Yeah that sounds like you have missing codecs. Just download some codec packs from the net and it should work. I use the Kazaa codec pack myself. Here's a link for you:

Some asx movies I downloaded recently from the site just didn't have sound (I confirmed that by translating the page, and it warned about it). If you USUALLY can watch asx's but this time you're having trouble, it's probably nothing you did wrong.

If you haven't tried watching sega's asx files before, they can be a pain sometimes. I've always had the best luck downloading them using a helper program. If you intall a recent version of flashget, you can right click on the asx and do 'download using flashget' and it will properly save the wmv (audio and video both). If your movie still doesn't work it's almost definitely sega's fault, unless for some reason you never installed windows media player 9 or the WMP9 codecs.
