I just have read Reno in VF5FS lack of Quest Mode...I have to admit, it's a cold water shower in my hype [IMG] And I'm not going partially off topic like 30-40% of this thread. I think it's directly related to the lack of in-game customization.

The miriad of items it's kind of VF intrisinc achievements/thropies, just better, because personally, I don't care for thropies, but VF offers much more for rewarding and incentivating your gameplay. Now I don't have to win my own "thropies", now I just pay for them. If at least I had to pay AND play for them...obviously pay AND play is painful, mainly because before I alredy got the taste of just playing for them.

No more dramatic win-for-earn item batlles. No more dojo sessions preparing for the next SEGA Club. Guy, even who only cares about multiplayer go through the Quest Mode for measuring up and refining their skills and inputs.

Again SEGA drops the ball, what is more than expected, as they supplying us through M$ [IMG]

I have a question for everyone who has been posting here lately. How much would you pay for the game if everything came with the game? If it brought all the items.

I was pretty upset when I heard the items would be separate dlc at first but then I realized I was willing to pay $30-$40 for the game anyways. If the game and the dlc all comes to that amount then it makes no difference.

It seems like everyone wants the game with all the dlc for $15 and that was unlikely to happen in the first place since that is a huge amount of content.

If the game and all the DLC =$60 then, whatever I guess. It beats paying $60 THEN DLC, so it's kinda one or the other.

I don't mind this DLC since I'm trying to style and profile, ASAP on people. Grinding out items was cool when I didn't have shit going on, but now I do, so I don't have time for that tomfoolery.

I think the game will prolly be $20-$30 so I'm willing to pay for $30 worth of DLC... only because it's VF.

    Or,

You could just play the game to get better at the game. Find a friend who like to play and challenge him to a first-to-ten, the one who loses has to buy the other a shirt. Real life items, you know! Play AND Play!

Playing quest mode for items was a slog. Glad it's gone.

Quest was only good for mindless battles. I hated the grind for items as well. The DLC format is win.

Yeah, in this particular case I'd take the DLC if the only alternative was quest. That's saying something about quest-for-items, damn. VF5 had item grinding it even worse than 4 iirc.

Why would they make you grind in Quest mode for items when they could have (ignoring dlc issues) made it so you gain them by playing online?

Scumbag VFDC members, begs on their knees for FS to come out to consoles, doesn't want to support SEGA with DLC's.

I am fairly sure the DLC will cost much more than what I've been hearing in this thread. While the game will probably cost no more than $20-$30, I truly believe each item pack will cost at least 400 or 800 MS Points ($5-$10) points per character.

After all, it's a TON of items per character and would totally justify the $5-$10 cost. Also a great way for SEGA to make money from the dedicated players who want this kind of stuff yet keeping the core game itself cheap for people who want to try or get into it. So think of per character costume pack costing either 5 or 10 bucks with 19 characters total, you're talking about 95 - 190 dollars for DLC content.

The downside is that if you only choose to buy the outfits for your character, you can't see anyone else's unless SEGA plans to change that.

So for everyone interested in buying all the content, you should get your wallets ready and expect to spend probably anywhere from 100-250 dollars (content + game).

I plan to purchase the content even at that price, but I just wanted to shed some light on the possible costs. I just wish that we could see costumes without buying them all, because if that were the case I'd only buy costumes on the characters I played... but I guess if I have no choice I'd buy them all just to see other players costumes and what they come up with..

According to Aion translation - there will be two bundles:
    9 Character Item Pack Bundle
    10 Character Item Pack Bundle

So let's assume Sega does not make FS the most expensive Xbox Live Arcade Game - greater than $20

Let's also assume Sega does not become the company to sell the most expensive DLC item on Xbox Live - greater than $20 (?)

    VF5FS Game - $20
    9 Character Item Pack Bundle - $20
    10 Character Item Pack Bundle - $20
    ===
    $60

If Sega become the first company to charge more money than other company's I'm guessing $80-$90 to get everything. Just a guess though.

How about the rest of DLC games on XBL? Does it cost extra $100 to buy all SF4 contents?

I assume the game itself is under $30, and the WHOLE package with discount is about $60. If you purchase individual character package will cost MORE a lot which means SEGA encourages every one to buy a bundle.

DLC is the strategy to cost down because SEGA doesn't count on VF at first place. $100 is way too expensive for me as being a hard core fan of VF.

I'm willing to pay 300+ for FS alone let alone with all DLC, you're not hard core at all. [IMG]

I didn't really think about the packages, but if that's the case it makes the game a lot cheaper than I thought. It makes sense though, because you can't even see what people are wearing unless you buy them, so if the price is really only $60, then no problem.

I don't know how much the cost of DLC is in SF4, I stopped keeping up with it.

I just hope SEGA won't do such a stupid thing on DLC items, and then they fail again eventually causes us no more VF6 in the future.

I still don't understand people getting upset at being charged for cosmetic options in VF5:FS.

You get a very good game at half price, with awesome training, online and competitive options without sacrificing on gameplay.

Sega just had a huge financial loss and they want to use Virtua Fighter to earn some money back. Let them earn lots of money on Virtua Fighter so they keep making them.

Besides I think I prefer seeying my opponents without endless junk. Sometimes I can only see what character is playing from the picture near the healthbar

Would anyone here, other than KO, be willing to pay $90 to have all the DLC?

    Serious question, btw.

Me? Not too sure. Like I said, I want to style and profile so maybe over time? I think for me it depends on the deals, if there are any.
