    Hello all, names Adz

Cool site here, it's going to help me a lot I imagine [IMG] I'm new to VF but it has been recommended to me by fellow fighting game players for a few years now, and I now finally see why

Lot's of the posts here tell a similar story as my own, started on the SF2 cabs when I was 11 and enjoyed beat-em-ups since. Currently play:
    KOF13, SF3:3s, SSF4:AE, SSF2THDR and now VF5: FS

I use Akira and am getting blown up a lot lol [IMG] messing with El Blaze too.

    Add me if you:
    a) like to help noobs
    b) like to blow noobs up

    Thanking you please =]

Hey guys! I am new to the Virtua Fighter scene, although not new to the series as I have been playing it since the original in the Arcade. I'm a 28 year old gaming veteran who has followed the series since the beginning and have enjoyed every moment of it.

I play mostly as Pai as she is the most familiar for me, although I am learning Jean at the moment.

Although I do not know the inner intricacies of the series, I am hopeful to learn and be more competitive in the community. I just recently picked up VF5FS for the PS3 and have been playing on a pad (too poor to get a stick...yet).

I live in the midwest around the great lakes area of the United States and am really excited to get to know others in the community and can't wait to learn and play with you guys!

Okay so I had put my VF playing on hiatus, mainly due to other gaming commitments and the fact everytime I watched a vid of VF5R and VF5FS I would rage because of the whole is it or isnt it coming to console debate...yep I signed that petition alot. Anyhow used to main Lion back in VF4EVO and VF5 but have now moved to Jean. Made the move to Jean because of the changes to Lion and because I've not played for awhile, decided to just relearn everything with a whole new character and Jean just felt the most comfortable for me.
Im hoping that with this new version VF will be returning to Evo this year and if its there im going to enter SvB here in the UK this year.
I plan to learn, read, post, ask for advice, give advice and just be part of this site alot more then I used to be

Hi everyone. I'm kinda new to the VF scene. I used to randomly play VF-VF3 in the arcades when I was a kid, but I didn't really start playing VF until VF5 came out for the 360. I just started playing it again with the release of Final Showdown, and I'm really enjoying it.

I play mostly as Brad, but I'll use El Blaze sometimes since those two characters feel really easy for me to use.

I live in Washington, and I'm definitely excited to start meeting other VF players in the area.

Hey everyone! It's been 10 years since I've last been to this forum and would like to to say I am new to vf5 final showdown.
I am now older and wiser and hopefully less annoying. (I apologize for my immaturity back then)

I am from the good ole Sunnyvale CA Golfland arcade community way back then. I wonder if anyone still remembers me... I look forward to playing anyone online!

Well I guess this is the introduction thread. So hey I'm Jiikae. It's funny. I was looking for a game to be my first 3D fighter that I take seriously and Virtua Fighter was seriously the last one I thought I'd like because of all the talk about its learning curve. But after watching it and comparing it to others, it intrigued me the most. I played VF5:FS and now I'm in love. Hope to learn alot while I'm here. This game is fun. You guys seem like the most respectful community too.

    From GA btw.

Hi Guys, I'm Max from France, newcomer and an absolute untrained player of VF.

First time I played a virtua fighter game was... with the release of the Final Shodown.
Basically, I'm just curious and I try pretty much every fighting games who come up on XBOX360/XBLA, and this time I was not really sure about how to play it, so I watched some videos and I finally fall on the UltraChen Show with LA Akira. That man really helped me to understand the mechanics of the game and even gave to the whole thing the aspect of being friendly to learn about.
So... now i'm a KAGE player with sneaky and worthless techniques... but I'm learning quickly.

By the way, thx to the doods who worked on this website, lots of usefull stuff in there.

Hello, i'm an older player and found my love for arcade games in the early 80's, in fact my grand-parents owned one back then and i spent many a happy hour on titles like Elevator Action, Defender, Karate Champ and all those.

Fighting games struck i chord with me but i only really dabbled in the 3D titles.

    -

VF 5:FS has me hooked, and has really pulled me into the 3D side, and it's the first fighter in a while that i would actually care to be competent at (by online standards anyway).

I'm from Preston, England and sadly have no time for offline meets, so online only for me [IMG]

Europe only if you wouldn't mind, although perhaps EC players would be ok. My PSN is Bailzebub.

Looking forward to that moment where this game "clicks" [IMG]

Hello everyone. I am somewhat new to VF, but not new to fighting games in general. I am a very active Tekken player, and do a fighting game podcast called All Things Gaming, (if you have been on Tekken Zaibatsu, 8wayrun, or FreeStepDodge, I have posted the cast on there). I would like to eventually become active in this community, and possibly start interviewing players to give the VF community a bigger audience.

  12. Hi all! Been lurking for several years and decided to make an account haha! Love 3D fighting games especially Dead or Alive and Tekken, and NOW VF5 FS!!! Ive always wanted to get into VF as IMO it was the last of the big 3 hand to hand 3D fighters that I had not played. Dabbled a bit in vanilla VF5 but with FS...it just blew me away and I love everything about it. Been playing a lot online as a Barbarian Rank currently, and been following the EVO stream closely great stuff! Looking forward to being a part of the community!

    Hello!

I'm by no means new to VF, but I've only recently started playing seriously. Actually, I guess I could say that about all fighters. I started playing MK9 and SSF4 seriously recently as well, but VF is proving to be the game I want to try to excel in. I found this site while looking up Goh and Eileen strategies, and now that I've got my hands on FS, I'd like to meet up with some fellow Goh players and get some tips.

I'm not a total n00b, but given my place in the boonies of Oregon, the only human opponent I've ever had is my little brother. If any of you are SSBB players you might actually know him. He goes by Vermanubis and mains Ganondorf.

Anyway, that's pretty much it. Yup.

    hihi

New to VF, not new to fighting games by a long shot.

This game always made me feel as dumb as a brick but I'm here to give it a try. Located in NJ, hit me up if you want to teach me how not to suck!

Yo yo yo everybody! Anybody who grew up in NYC in mid-80's knows all the arcades had crowds around the VF2 cabinets! As a young kid, that was my first experience in virtual combat...and manhood! I thought those days were long gone, until Shidosha and his GDLK commentary @ evo12 re-ignited my dead soul! Look for me as Lau Chan (& training with Aoi too) Koen-ken!

Not really new but back after a long hiatus.

Find me playing VF5FS on PS3 under the PSN name "baladec". I used to play a lot of Shun back when I sank my time into the original VF5 console version, but am looking to switch things up to a fighting style more familiar to my experience in real life.

So far I started with Sarah, but things aren't really clicking, so I'm considering exploring some more.

If people feel like coaching me, or if they're looking to gather people for community matches, feel free to send me a friend request.
