thats bullshit. if attacking techrollers is your only source of damage, then you must be a scrub. I know, because I myself am a scrub. whenever i play Myke or Ken my only offence often comes from pressuring on okizeme.

for example: good player Kage (Myke) vs shit player Jeff (KG)

-Jeff opens with 6K, its an MC! (KG: LOLOLOLOL MYKE IS FUXORED) proceed 50% dmg combo.

-Kage techrolls and Jeff does K+G hitting Kage as he attempts to evade. (KG: LOLOLOLOL IM GONNA BEAT MYKE)

-Jeff attempts throw, which gets escaped. Kage does P~PKG > TFT (GHEY TFT)

-Ring out ggpo hoe

Round 2
-Jeff tries same bullshit shenanigans 6K, gets counterhit by Kage P.

-Kage then proceeds to do some tricky bullshit which I dont even know the commands for but does some flip around PKG shit i dont know.

-This leads to some 80% damage all up. in desperation Jeff tries 6K..... and IT HITS!!!! for a MC. ensue 50% dmg combo and KNOCKDOWN

-Kage techrolls, and ducks the K+G. ggpo hoe Round 2 to kage as well

Round 3:
-Jeff does some new shit, he opens the round with a backdash evade canceled into forward crouch dash guard.

-Kage just does some shippujin 3P shit and slaps Jeff for a combo.

-Jeff techrolls and blocks kage's 2K+G.

-jeff does 6P+G throw, switching sides and making kage closer to the edge of the ring.

-kage rolls up and does a mid rising kick which counter hits Jeff's attempt at crushing the rising attack with 6K+G.

-Kage does TFT. ring out ggpo hoe

seriously lemmy, you only have to watch videos of japanese players and even top non-japanese players to realise that saying "Almost all damage in VF5 comes from throwing/attacking recovery rolls" is false
