You're right it is an issue of quality over quantity. So NJ it is for me.

If Joe is the best player then it isn't worth for us to travel. Joe isn't bad, imho he needs to play more people of equal or better skills.

Ah. Congrats. Knowing Joe, he should learn from Evo fast and you'll see a much different player next time.

Just who is so great in NJ anyway? When I lived there for like 3 years, I met only 2 people who had even ever heard of VF. And neither actually played it.

Is VF really the only game you all play? None of the other 20+ games on the list interests you?

The VA crew are going to the Jersey tournament. I'm friends with them and they are better than the competition I'll get from Long Island. Don't get me wrong I'm not dissing Long Island, I'm just stating my observation.

I'm sure Joe will be training to improve, but he's only gonna be as good as his competition. I'm training hard too after playing in Evo East and been going to tournaments with better competition. It seems that Joe is content with playing the same people in Long Island. In my opinion he is holding himself back. You guys

It seems that my friend Denkai is going there. You'll see what I mean when you see him play. I was able to beat Joe, and judging by what I learned from our match I am a match better player than him. Denkai is a much better player than me, in fact he is the Evo East champ. So whatever VF bubble you live in will be burst. If you are planning to go to Evo World, then you better start playing better competition.

Hey Cla... sorry about this, I didnt mean for this to turn into a "Come to my tournament, not that other one" thread... I was just mentioning it so that people would consider going to both. I myself (who is running the NJ tournament) will do what I can to actually attend both tournaments.

As for NJ... yeah, we're new VF people. But we're not scrubs. NJ is known for having some of the best Tekken players (such as BrianH) and simply being the best competition in the Soul Calibur 2 era. We are trying our best to learn VF so we can someday put up a decent fight in these tournaments.

Yeah, I remember the SC2 scene being big. Didn't see too much for Tekken. But yeah BrianH is god-tier.

Not ideal for walking. I would arrange to have people picked up at the station. Like with the NYCers coming for DOA4 today.
