Yeah I have all the orb items as I can't buy anymore orb discs and I have the "Orb Master" achievement. I've done all the random item tournaments. My "Items collected" is 100.0%, and I have the "All Items" achievement as well.

As far as I can see in my item edit menu, the only thing that is new from those pics is the Tribal Chest Tattoo.

The white wolf cap isn't there, nor are the spike shoulders, stone mask, red paint mask, short blue hair with headband (long blue hair is in), short grey hair with headband, earring, green dreamcatcher thing, chequered elbow pads, red towel, black spike mask and the full white gloves aren't in either.

they continue to add items to ver C in japan. the items on the 360 ver are the ones on japanese ver C when the arcade version first dropped. that is what i mean by 'stock.' the items you are seeing in those screens are not in the 360 version (yet). DLC? who knows? not me!

but yes, the 360 ver has a lot more than ver B did already and a full list of those items is in the new book. other items beyond that aren't in the book because they are not in the game.

is the guide useful beyond cracking open quest mode?

for example does it contain combos for each charcter as well as move lists?

I hope Sega plans for DLC then, cause I was hoping some of the items in the new screens would be in the game.

oh im sure there will be since even crappy 360 games get downloadable content. not only that but sega already stated the possibility of downloadable content months ago. the problem for me is i dont have LIVE.

i just bought the game because it was the only way i would be able to play version c since i dont live in asia. id love the extra content. makes me want to get LIVE.

Fighting fans have been waiting years for online play to be added to the Virtua Fighter series. Now they finally know exactly when that waits ends, as Sega today confirmed for GameSpot that the Xbox 360 edition of Virtua Fighter 5 will ship Tuesday, October 30.

Originally released earlier this year on the PlayStation 3, Virtua Fighter 5 featured 17 fighters--two of them new to the series--as well as the ability to customize characters with new items purchased with in-game prize money. The big change for the Xbox 360 version of the game will be online play. Other additions include leaderboards and the ability to download matches from the top contenders so as to study their fighting styles. Players will also be able to purchase downloadable Virtua Fighter 5 content through the Xbox Live Marketplace.

As far as changes that affect the offline experience, the Xbox 360 edition will have vibration support for the Xbox 360 controller. It will also be based on the latest arcade hardware revision, and players will be able to go through a quest mode featuring more rivals than before. There will also be new training options in the dojo mode.

Here's something you people should know about items in the Arcade version. AM2 constantly release new items over time.

Just because the gameplay is based on Ver.C, doesn't mean that every single item that has been (and will be) released in Japanese arcades during Ver.C's life span is automatically available in the Xbox 360 version.

Since there's no official list of what items are contained in the Xbox 360 version, it's pointless to speculate and foolish to assume.

Enjoy what you have, and why not open yourself to being surprised?

uh yes there is. the list of items for the 360 version are in my bradygames strategy guide. it starts on page 179 of the guide and ends on page 202. i think all the emblems are listed there as well. pages 169 through 178 list the emblems.

Well I didn't know that they keep on adding to the VerC arcades, that would explain a few things. Although the 360 version still seems to be missing some items that I'm sure were added to VerC long before the 360 game was finished.

Just as long as they actualy release good download content. Remember how they said Guitar Hero II was gonna have more downloadable content than any other game?

i cant see DLC working in this situation. lets say am2 release a new hair style for jacky in a few weeks time on the arcade version. how could that be added to the 360 version without every single user downloading it?

if you downloaded the jacky hair but not your friend what would he see on his screen?

Basic system update would happen, that wouldn't be an issue. What would, I think, is the decrease in value of won items. I really want a pink fluffy scarf on my El Blaze, because I know that when I go my friends' place they are not likely to have it since I'm the only El Blaze player I know. But if someone else can pay and then have those items from the start, why should I strive to get them? If every Jeffry has a clockwork back then there's no point in wearing the turning key.

Well given time won't pretty much everyone have all the items for a given character anyway? In theory at least? So you could say the same about any item really.

I'm not saying they won't do it, but DLC can also mean just themes and gamerpics.

If someone else has played El Blaze all the way through then I'm down for them having all the items, but if there's items that are sick, like El Blaze's guitar, then that item shouldn't be available on any starter El Blaze. That's all I'm saying.

lets hope the content download wasnt referring to the gamer pics and character themes.
    I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It would be best if they could do item DLC in a way that you'd have to earn the new items through battles or tournaments in Quest mode and not just have them available straight away.

That is, of course if item DLC does ever become available. After all, he game has only just been released.

samtheseed your the man i checked the box and it does say content download. im sure sega knows how people love to customize there characters. its only a matter of time till youll start seeing downloadable content in my opinion.

from what im hearing sega needs to make a patch that gives people that give people losses every time they drop a match. i havent played online but im sure if i did this would drive me insane.
