League Tournament @ Game Focus, London UK

Looks like it'll be the 5th we come down to London as Tyrant are playing @ Fabric that night. What's the score about arriving later in the day? Do folk need to be there early to enter the tournaments?

Hope there's gonna be allot of VF-Evo play as it's the only fighter I'm heavily into at the moment. Meanwhile I'll be getting my Shun and Aio into a fighting state ready for the London competition.

Does anyone have a list of all the vfers that are coming. I'm not sure that i'm gonna be coming yet dont know if my pai's up to scratch yet.

my game now makes my joke of a performance at DL non existent, but meh, i'm not really the real deal to be scared of, i had other people in mind to tell u the truth... ^^

Come anytime between 11AM - 7PM. Its not a double elimination thing or a knockout tournament. Just make sure you bring your pad or some money to hire one or someone who will lend you the stick to play on. I'll only have like one or two gamecube sticks.

in terms of gameplay upto scratch, don't worry about it. This thing is only a trial and I'll have to wait until i get word of a weekly gig. That's when the real challenge takes place. If it ever happens....

 

i might come, but not to sure where the store actually is. My pais in ok condition, but hope a big crowd joins in. Is the £3 entry fee for all the games or for each??.

£3 is for all the games. its a queuing system, so just let the referee know you wanna play and he'll put your name down.

 

Damn i aint played gee ho's pai's in months be interesting to see how much better it is now.

 

Im going to be there but Im not that much of a VF player quite yet. I've seen Bareknuckle play and Im scared enough of his Wolf, especially if he's improved alot.

The current top arcade players though probabley won't show.

No I wouldn't dare show up at one of the arcade tourneys untill I thought I was at a very good standard.

I saw you play at the one of the console DL events winning in style. I went under the name NT over there but didn't play much VF back then.

Isn't that a good thing at first? Gives you the chance to go on top of the league doesn't it?

Anyway, having trouble getting VF4 Evo showing up in Colour. Has anyone experienced a green screen using a SCART lead? I was just wondering if it was the Macrovision kicking in, cause I was thinking of getting those DVD leads for PS2 to turn the thing off. Let me know as soon as, so I don't have to rely on a PAL Booster...

 

I would say bareknuckle has improved far past that standard now.

Sorry steve i never run into those problems, i guess it's because of the scart lead but i wouldnt know as i use av's for my ps2.

Ah don't worry.. Checked it on some website... its the stupid option thing within the PS2 (when u boot without a game). I need to choose RGB instead of 'Y Cb / Pb Cr / Pr'.

 

So after all that it the machines fault,lol.

 

would of thought u knew it was componant, but thought u told me the prob was the pic was black an white an not colour, i.e it can take 60hz but not the colour subcarrier of ntsc(3.58mhz) needs a pal booster to up it to 4.43mhz

All it was, was the greeness of the picture. All fixed from a little option... RGB quality at its best...

Spoke to Phil, i'm hearing around 10 peeps are coming down just for VF4 Evo... probably makes a total of 15 or something... if my assumsion is right. Looks like its single matches, winner stays on.... no best of three this time round.

I'm gonna bring down my DC for SF Turbo... Looks like the UK DC has bulls up again... Mind you, I think you'll need to bring down the Pal booster for that!

 

i dont think my pais improved that much shes good on and off, im probably better on the sticks then pad but pad l;ets me crouch dash like hell and set up for diffrent attacks. Still suck at throw escapes but dodging kinda improved, i think.

 

i can bring my offical jap vga box, it has s,video out? my pal booster is for ps1/2 only, aye nice ur bringin super turbo, peeps will get rocked on that also
winner stays on sounds better but i think u should let them hav 2 credits/chances???
