@shadowmaster, I know about how many fights my mates have locally, we play a lot of VS mode. I was just curious to see how many fights people have elsewhere, and what the norms are.

It does seem from the other posts, that heavy hitter VF5 players have over 10,000 fights, and really serious players have over 4,000 fights. Its one of those, just interesting to know kind a things.

Notice that I did not mention anything at all about win/lose ratios [IMG]

Bordering the hundreds of thousands if we're including online and offline.

I've also spent a few hundred hours in dojo by now.

I kinda doubt you played hundreds of thousands of matches online or off line. Even if you spend just two minutes per each match including loading time, you need to spend 9 months, without sleep or eating or crapping, in order to play 200000 matches. If you play 8 hours a day seven days a week you are talking about two years and three months. If each match takes 3 mins on average including loading time and what not it's 3 years and 4 months.
Given that VF5 was released to consoles on 2007, I don't think you could have played hundreds of thousands of matches while being a socially functioning individual.

Anyway, this thread is retarded to begin with and rather belongs to the gamefaqs forum. I am sure many would AGREE.

Well, I have over 30,000 wins on my Wolf quest mode character.

But they don't really count. 'cause it was on normal and I pretty much just done the same thing over and over again to win.

Seidon, not to call in question your veracity here, but... its my understanding that the AI on PS3 is kind-a broken, and that the AI on XBox is far superior to the AI on PS3. I found no single strategy that could be effective against every AI on the PS3. And if the AI on the Xbox is superior to the AI on the PS3, then... Ahem....

Could you be a little more specific? What same thing were you able to do with wolf to beat all of the different AI's on XBox 30,000 times [IMG] I mean a single strategy against all of the various AIs (30,000 times) you've got to admit that does sound a little fishy right? [IMG]

Question #2, if you've got 30,000 fights against the AI in Quest mode, you do realize that leaves virtually 0 time to play anyone in VS mode or online right? I mean if you do the math, you've been playing Wolf in quest mode non stop since the release of VF5 on the Xbox. [IMG]

Don't get me wrong, I believe you and everything, but you got to admit something sounds just a little fishy: 30,000 fights all won with the same move(s) using a single character. I mean its possible, its just , well, its just that, ummm, uh-da-rum, its not totally consistent with , well... its not exactly congruent with most of your other posts [IMG] I mean , I would be the last person to acuse you of inflating your numbers, because its entirely possible that you have 30,000 fights with Wolf since 2007, after all who am I to judge, but you gotta admit it, coming from you something just sounds a little fishy thats all.

Hey Seidon, look dude, I trust you, but could you post an undoctored, un-monkeyed-with screen shot of your, you know, QuestMode Wolf Profile.,, showing the 30,000 fights [IMG] I mean, just to clear things up, you know so there won't be any question in anybody's mind that you're on the up and up.

Of course, Seidon, you realize that 30,000 fights, even if its against the AI and even if you used the same strategy over and over, makes you a master of that strategy (whatever it was). From this day forward you shall be known as:

Sifu Seidon "master of the 30,000 fists technique"

I literally just done stagger-low throw over and over or ringed them out if I was able to. It was on Normal as well, which is piss easy to win in. If I had it on expert I wouldn't be able to do that shit.

When I first got the game I wasn't sure how to get money and such and I used to just sit in an arcade and play for hours.

I'll take a picture when I get my VF disc back.

VF's AI is wild on this game! I'm trying to get that whole capture card set up thing crackin off cause man, it looks and feels just like i'm playing against somebody. I believe if I uploaded some matches from quest mode, it'd be a lil tough to tell that I was playin the cpu. I play it just like I would somebody Online. Doing delays, eteg from half way across the screen (just to do it lol).

I can't really compare what it is to other fighting game AI cause I aint really played fighting games since I was 13 lol, (29 now) besides giving SF4 a fair shot and if you wanna count KO Kings and Fight Night. But dam, this AI thing done came up.

One thing I noticed is that if you're holding block while getting hit to block the next attack, they throw you hahah. Which is coo imo cause it's not cheating too much really imo. Unlike SF, I used to say that the SF games had heat sensors on em cause it seemed to always know what you was gonna do just before you pushed the button.

Anyways, back on topic. I don't know how many Online fights i've had cause I mainly play Player Matches. Be cool to know though..

I've just passed 10,000 fights with Lei Fei with a healthy mix of VS, and single player.

Can you guess how many were losses [IMG]

I now know I'm just good enough to be a nice warm up for a real player [IMG]

Exactly 5000, as you balance defeat with victories on an equal and proportionate level, ensuring a perfect zen like balance?

I'd presume he's lost all 10,000. Can't have learned much from striking an equal balance.

    [IMG] Now that's the spirit!

my, my, my August Oh! August [IMG]

There will certainly be some lessons to learn I can't
wait to try out my Shaolin Losing Fist [IMG] online.

All my frame countin, combo-stringin, VF techno-crat h8ters, will have a chance to see my crippled dragon losing master
technique [IMG] I can say though one learns to lose in the most spectacular fashion after being in 10,000 fights.

Youtube is a beautiful thing we'll finally get a chance to see some of yall superstar players beat-n the feathers out of old master Po [IMG]

TBH, there are three players (You know who you are) that simply gave up playing VF altogether after beating me down. I think, come August, there's gonna be a lot of that going around.

The most fantastic, amazing, awe inspiring losses you'll probably ever witness.

Only then will you cats understand the Shaolin way....
