You know what it looks to me like they would rather concentrate all of their R&D to new games and existing games that make them money. I can't blame them for wanting fa sho money.

Does this mean that all hope is gone.... but i think more VFDC users are still hoping and waiting, like me...

But... if i lose out of patience... and if they won't release this game in console before New Year, I'll never hope for anything from SEGA again... >>

If they gave us a lobby system update for VF5, that would help the wait for FS by a lot.

Sucks to see 10+ people on but you can't play anyone cause everybody is having 1hr-2hr long sessions. Which is understandable cause there really isn't no one else to play if you leave the match you're in. Unless you're really good at the game, then you could probably pull any one out of any match to play you lol, seriously.

But yea, that would make the online experience so much more enjoyable. Also people that are new to the game can watch some matches without youtube or the exhibition matches (even though those r dope)and learn a little.

I guess the Xbox party thing is the closest you could get to that now by switching every 10 min or so. But a real lobby thing would be fantastic.

From what I know we've had one update (a pretty good one too) so it's good to know they did a little something extra for the people. But it's been so long since that happened. It's a wonder why they haven't been pumping out more item DLC. It's been years..So honestly this is all pretty pointless lol. It's just what I think right now.

And yeah I'm not holding my breath but still this sounds like good news. I'm really hoping this pans out. If not, guess I'll stick VF3, 4 and vanilla 5....

 

Dude its seriously about damn time. This game has a chance to put all those other fighting games to shame. I hope americans come to understand what a good fighting game looks like so we dont have to worry about it being like VF5.

 

I noticed something today on Gamespot. Go to the VF5 page. On the left screen menu, which has reviews, videos forums, what have you. It has a new entry on that list called "DLC and Expansions". Of course when you click it on , it shows the item pack updates.

But weren't those DLC so insignificant any, after all, they were already on the disc. And what does the "Expansions" part of the title signify? Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown? Does Gamespot know something we dont know? I think it's pretty suspicious to add a new menu item for a 3 year old game. VF5:FS might be coming sooner than we think, and it might be Xbox exclusive DLC.

 

Although I'd give a lot for an "expansion" to the existing VF, this is not the case. IMO Gamestop simply added the feature and updated it for any games that have ANY DLC.
As for VF5:Final Showdown. There is too much of a difference between Vanilla and FS for it to be DLC. IF it comes to consoles, this will 100% be a completely seperate title.

 

*Sigh* No VF Final Showdown, no Alpha Protocol 2, I am NOT happy with Sega right now.

 

The "epansion" part is what added the "save replay" feature to online matches

 

I hate to double post but i wanted to clarify that i'm referring to http://virtuafighter.com/forums/ubbthrea...sage#Post190081 . There was an important update for VF5 online.

And, even better, it happened after SEGA organized a poll on their messageboards.

We should try to remember the VF developper's good moves along with the bad ones.
