I'm not, don't see why they'd trademark it if they weren't in the process of making a console version.

A Trademark might not mean that they are making a console version...it could be just to protect certain rights...There are other Arcade games that have been trademarked in the past and were never released on console...

Patents, Trademarks etc....are used for protection purposes mostly...to prevent costly legal battles....

For all we know that VF5:FS patent could be sitting off in the corner somewhere collecting dust...shame on SEGA [IMG] for treating us this way...

Yeah, SEGA might have used it for protection, but..... we're not yet sure! And at this juncture, we should not lose hope. [IMG]

But the fact of the matter is, people are doing just that... Harada dropped a mega-gem mentioning TTT2, and Ono is hooking cats up with Yun and Yang in SSF4 (even though it needs more Q imo). Fact is, even though TTT2 started way before TxSF, and nothing was said until now, Harada still said something and before that, he was mentioning the other games for his fans (T6 and TxSF). Sega put a few things out, but nothing that would benefit the rest of the world - a.k.a. where the real money is at... I'm just saying...

logging in VFDC is so depressing for me, i think i have to stop coming here for a long time. Good luck guys with SEGA and VF5FS. i'll focus at Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection, later MK9.
    see u all soon.

I wonder if MK9 will eventually be EVO worthy... I mean granted its not a Capcom game, but it seems the guys at EVO are trying to remove their "Capcomunism" label by giving other games a shot.

I remember people were saying MB would never be in EVO, that GG or some other game would be there instead... Times are changing for the better imo... A lot of good games are getting noticed now... Just wish VF was one of them, and that Sega didn't burn so many damn bridges...

Sega doesn't care if Virtua Fighter is dead to you, or anyone for that matter. [IMG]

Hold tight guys, I know waiting is torture, but have a little faith. Sega did they same thing with Yakuza 3 for the U.S. last year. 1up.com leaked the Sega was secretly localising Yakuza 3 back in August 2009. The Yakuza community was full of speculation and doubt for months while waiting for official word from Sega. It took Sega all the way until December 2009 to officially announce Yakuza 3 for the west.

I know the wheels don't turn quickly enough , but Sega may come through yet. For some games they won't make an announcement until they have a firm release date.

The most annoying thing is the uncertainty. If it isn't coming to consoles, SEGA should just say that.

Sega pisses me off so much and to make things worse I just bought Sonic Adventure on PSN... I've never been this mad about one game but I've been playin' VF since I was 6. Shit is just sad.

That's the problem: they don't say nothing... Communication is one thing that brings unity and hope, and Sega saying nothing is bringing cats down... Others can see that, and thus you have major game announcements even before the game comes out... Even Square-Enix dropped info about FFXIV when it was codenamed "Rapture"...

    Announcements from Capcom:
SFIV arcade, 8 months before release.
SFIV console, 9 months before release.
SSFIV console, 7 months before release.
SSFIV arcade, 8 months before release.
SFxT arcade, possibly 1yr+ before release.

Namco have now done the same for TTT2 & TxSF, with T7 more-or-less hinted at as well.
ArcSys are pretty timely with announcements as well.

Also Yakuza 3 was only announced 4 months before western release.
That just doesn't feel right in this modern age.

It'll probably drop, but Sega has never been good at marketing an PR *cough Sega CD, cough 32X*.

And that is why they lose... By the time something does arise, no one is interested or there's not enough hype for sales... They don't keep the flame burning... It's like they want a huge Chicago fire of 1871 effect, but only give a birthday candle effort when it comes to keeping people informed and hyped about whatever game they're throwing through the pipeline... Are all of Sega's branches like this???
