Hey whats with peeps saying they will come just to watch???!!!

If everyone comes just to watch, there won't be anything TO watch!

Tourney is on the 18th so get yourselves in gear, practice hard and let's make it a good one ok guys!

Otherwise whats the point in having a back to back setup after all this time like we wanted and then we all just sit there and look at it.

You guys gotta promise to practice for me okay. I don't want no feeble excuses like last time like "Oh, I'm not on form", and stuff like that. You know when the tourney is and most of you have ps2's with VFevo so let's get the show rolling. I personally think we are one of the better countries at VF evo but only if we practice hard.

About the credits I think I will just charge an entry fee and then use that to pay for the credits, thats the only fair way I think. Just turn up on the day and we will sort it out. It's gonna be fun, whoever wins!!!

I think most players are starting back at uni or are starting uni like myself and students are often related with being pennyless-
(been saving money for credits though /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

How much is the entry free going to be?

Longshot question but they dont take namco tokens by any chance ive got a bulging pocket full of the stuff waiting to be used

Thanks for the info Ryan! I was on the verge of quitting VF4evo cos there aren't many machines to challenge in London, or hardly any (decent) tournaments to enter. And the learning curve is very high, even the AI is hard. But having this event on saturday made me relise it's worth practicing and improving for this event alone, or future tourneys. reminded me those KOF days in Namco WonderPark. i will come down this saturday and do my best! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

That sounds fair enuff. Depending on how many ppl there are I guess u cud charge that amount.

 

haha, well ive got no excuse, my lau is back on form, and ive had the game since day one!, hell mans even played evo at sega back last july!

How long is it likely to go on for and whats the format? I wanna come but I've got something on that day so I won't be able to stay for too long if I do make it.

I can't remember where the VS cabs are, how do you get to them?

went down to trocadero last night after work, the setup is very good and surprisingly it's on a Japanese machine, back to back. good stuff! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif plus it's 50p for a credit and it's three rounds per stage. the only minor issue is the screen, a hint too dark in contrast & brightness?

like what 'RandomHajile' said it's opposite the cinema, where Virtua Cop 3 machine is, on the left near those gambling machines. or if you find the upstairs DDR machine, go down the escalators and turn left.

i hope it's a friendly gathering/match. hopefully i don't p**s my 'random pick' player off, cos i'm not too hot in VF4evo. i've played a few players in P2W and it's either they're (beginners) terrible at the game or a real advanced player that doesn't have trouble killing me off. hard to find those middle skilled players like me. /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif anyway, i'll bring my regular practice partner down as well, more the merrier. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ah yes 'Victorious Boxers' ....played it a few times when it first came out (round my mates), this was ages ago. now i don't play it anymore but i've been watching all the series and movie. the latest is the OVA Extra Match 'Kimura vs Mashiba', and playing the GBA Hajime no Ippo - surprisingly fun and great sound effects for the Gameboy. however i've imported the PS2 'Hajime no Ippo - Victorious Boxers' from Japan and should be getting it this saturday, i will practice till i'm a pro, cos the second game is coming out soon and it's a good run up to this. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hi there, if people could come about 1.30pm it would help cos then I could I get registration out the way. Also you guys can get some practice in as well but if everyone turns up at 2pm it's cool too.

About the format: If people want to have double elimination then I will have to charge a bit more for entrance fee for the credits. I'm not sure how many teams we will have but if we have enough then I may do leagues first before we go to the knockout stage. Leagues are kinda fun. I will be filming too, copies of vhs will be available the week after. People who want copies of the last Feet Bribe tournies volume 1 and 2 are welcome. I will be bringing a limited number of copies with me to the tournament on Saturday (Tomorrow) for people who want them.

Practice today as well!!! It's your last chance! Make up some new strats and setups and improve your combos, execution, timing, everything. Good Luck guys!

I will turn up about 1'45 depends on BK really but i'll try and get some practice in today at his house so i wont have to warm up tommorow and waste credits.
