Ha ha, thanks guys. I think that all the bitching (mine included) comes down to two things.

1. VF5 has plenty of wtf? moments and some characters are, shall we say, more apt at producing these moments.

I think though, for those "wtf? moments", they're actually pretty concrete, we just don't know the actual framework of the hitboxes or rules of it all. Meaning, while it looks ridiculous to us visually, if the same situation were to occur again, it would happen the same way. So that helps me with that. Otherwise I'd wig out a lot lol.

AM2 took a risk in actually making the characters significantly different in size. I love the change, personally, but it certainly has lead to more of those "wtf? moments".

For Shun's lowkick, I'm use to it with Jacky playing against Falling Edge lol. I've found that you just are not going to punish it and your best option is to get lucky with sidestep (not a term players like to hear, "lucky") or just space out and approach it another way. Example, with Jacky, I just block, backdash, 4K+G. I'm sure most characters have some sort of out like this to wreck someone who tries to spam that move.

I got a major complaint about VF5: it keeps me up really late at night sometimes. I have to get up early and go to work the next day and be at work all tired. Damn VF5! Why does it have to be so addictive /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

Funny thing, some of the guys I play with are pretty passionate about this game (as am I) and somtimes there's bitching/moaning about some tactic that atm is difficult to deal with.
Nobody really gripes about 2P or standing jab spamming until they start losing to it. It's kinda funny to me bc when somebody starts using a tactic or style of play that is annoying there isn't a whole lot of complaining... until you lose to it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

And about character complaining, I better not read anybody talking bad about Brad.
He is the coolest metro-sexual, disco-dancing, over-confident, womanizing douchebag that I've ever seen.

Bitching is GOOD. It starts good dialog about VF5 and everyone gets to learn something from everyone else. Anything that spurs communication between VFDCers is good for the community. The more we are thinking and talking about VF5 the better we will understand the game and the system.

Eventually, through these types of discussions, we have a chance to understand the game more deeply and learn how to defeat different, frustrating tactics. If you say something inflammatory, it's just a game, it's not a big deal. If you feel a certain way about the game or there is something that is frustrating you, get it off your chest and we can hash it out in the forums.

No one should feel attacked because one person or another doesn't like your character. It's just a game and let's all remember that. It's something we all take seriously and strive to be good at but there's no need for hurt feelings or pride, it's not personal at all, just about a character in the game, not the person who plays them.

And I really think that any character that has more low moves than Akira is as cheap as it gets.
