Yeah, that decision was somewhat strange....
We have PRs taking part in the Olympics on behalf of Singapore, but not for WCG... Its probably a sponsor requirement or something.

Where does it say friday ? There's only 2 groups and we're all on Sunday mornings man. So are you coming or not man ?

Registration starts at 10.30 am on Sunday (I wonder if I can even wake up...) Attire as per rules and regulations please (this coming from a guy who absolutely hate long pants and jeans..). If anyone still wants to sign up, please do let me know via PM/Mobile phone or contact the event executive of Rapture Gaming directly (wcg@rapturegaming.com or shauntan@rapturegaming.com).

They're still open to having more players, but we MUST let them know by Thursday, so any fence sitters out there either decide now or let it pass. The guys at Rapture Gaming have been really nice about accomodating us in terms of the scheduling it to the weekend, so if you are keen, please do join.

I was still viewing from cache when I made that post but ya, saw that the games are on Saturday.

I probably won't go though if I can't participate in the tournament. The pink IC requirement just seems so retarded.

Oh yes... could someone bring the HDMI cable for the xbox360 this sunday ? Would like to avoid situations like the E-Life one at Suntec last year where we had laggy matches...

My xbox360 isn't HDMI capable, so I don't really own one, but it'll be great if someone could. Thanks in advance!

I just moved in Singapore. I looked around all those places mostly around cinemas. I could not find any VF5. Can you tell me where I can play VF5 in Singapore? Place? Address?

There isnt much Arcade with VF5 left, for now you might still find 1 or 2 machine at bugis junction basement, the other location is more ex but you might want to get some of the people here to bring you to a lan shop where they commonly go last time they have VF5 on PS3.

(The bugis junction's VF5 is located at the far end inside the amusement area you need to climb afew steps to get to it)

Passat1293, welcome to SG, but unfortunately, working VF machines are very very rare here.... The Bugis machines are working, but the sticks are in pretty bad condition.

Drop one of us a PM with contact details. We do meet up periodically, with the frequency being about once between 3-6 weeks or so now (depending on our work schedule), or mostly play on xbox live, so feel free to post your gamertag here too!

 

Uh, I was forced out. Told that non-pink IC members weren't welcomed to play. When I asked for a refund, they told me I had to show up at Funan in person to get it. Ridiculous.

So, who won? Was it a good tourney?

Dude, we could have collected the registration fees back for you man... I thought you didn't pay or something..

Well... There's were just 4 of us, and Danny's the Winner for this one (Congrats!). Pretty much the same as last year where there was a pretty awful lag. We did managed to get some games in using the setup that they had, but did spent a lot of time waiting for the rest of the event to finish.

As for Bugis, are they still using that fake SF4 machine ?

 

Nah.... using back the "i-cannot-see-you" cabinet...

I just got a call from the Rapture Gaming guys. There's currently only 4 slots left before we have the full complement. Registration for the National Finals will close by this Friday (26th June 2009), so if you have not registered, please do so early...

BTW, Has anyone tried to help uncle wolf (sorry, don't really know his actual name...) register yet ? or if anyone knows he's done it already ?
