wow Boston tournament.? im in cambridge and it is really close to my place. i wanna join if it's ok. ...but.... well.... i suck at this game. the last time i played vf with other people was 6 years ago in korea.
damn it's been really a while i played this game and this website really got me into vf again.
where are you guys usually go play vf4ev around boston area? i wanna play.

I'm willing to drive a van up there or something which can hold a lot of people that isn't stick. . . but i dont know about pricing I'm clewaring my pm box so PM (again if you already have) if you need a ride from NY / NJ and PM me if you know of any place where i can rent a cheap van. I really dont mind driving but my budget is kinda tight. So holla at me vf'ers.

About renting a van . I got some rates ...

15 passenger van totals $550. Split 15 ways that = $37 a person. thats a bit much if you ask me. My friends enjoy vf but I doubt they would be interested in paying that much /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif . Thanks goes to Orion for pointing out the site.

As of now my plans are to take my car down with two of my friends, two other people (most likely smurf and somone else) and myself. leave around 5pm on april 23rd for boston and come back the 25th.

If anyone finds cheaper rates, has a van, etc etc. Please pm or post. I would like to see a big tournout for the tourny

I also want to thank everyone for their interest in making the trip to beantown for beatdowns. This tourney is definitely shaping up to own the last tournament I put together. And that one was the best effort to date. With everyone's help this should be an awesome weekend. As always, any comments, concerns or suggestions are welcome. I will most likely increase the entry fee to $10 since there is a large amount of out-of-state comp. I'm upgrading vf4 evo to a 'main' tournament so the pot should be much higher this way. Does anyone have a problem with this? It's not important to me but it's just for the players to have more at stake.
Please bear with me as I finalize everything for this tournament. It's still got a ways to go because this one's a monster to organize with all the games. I'll be back soon with more updates. Does anybody know if the buses from Chinatown NYC stop near the tournament address or is this not practical? I can pitch in for gas if anyone has room in their car.

 

Those buses probably stops at the Chinatown in Boston, which is about 2-3 Miles away. Definetely not walkable. I think.
