well if super turbo teaches "dry" play, that means all the 3rd strike players could run tings on super turbo!

I may be turning up (my first ever tourney /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif ) so long as i can get meself some free time (and a bunch of cash for train fares /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif). What sort of level will the competition be in the VF4 tourney, I'm guessing high seeing as Ryan's going but how would your average 75-80% win rate standard PS2 player fare?

Might play SC2 as well for a laugh (tactically button mashing my friends is more than the experience i need)

well if u ask me, it aint about what ever win percentage u hav on ps2, its about learning what ur enemy does, an work out what they wil do, my friend dont leave his house, just plays vf all day, had 97% an still gets bruck up by my kid bro!
as long as u hav tactics, or use range, u'll do okay

Guilty Gear XX reload (#reload); Virtua Fighter 4 evolution (VF4 evo) and Street Fighter 3:3rd Strike (3S): Tournament begins 10:00a.m. and concludes at 10:00p.m.

GGXX reload (ps2) event from 10:00am. - 1:00p.m. (prelims and finals)
VF4 evo (ps2) event from 2:00p.m. - 5:00p.m (prelims and finals)
3S (VC cabinets) event from 6:00p.m. - 10:00p.m. (prelims and finals)

Correct me if i am wrong! So VF-fans have to stay in London from saturday till sunday. That would be ok. Im trying to get their with one of my friends...That would be my first international tournament......im lookin forward to play with players like Ryan and the UK-players in general!

well the thing is, theres a "disclamer" of sorts at the ullisis.com site, saying things to the effect of "the dates rules are not final till march 31st"

Well it would be really good if all the non Uk players could turn up to the tournament. Since this would be the only oppurtunity for some to play good/great players outside of UK.

actually, i heard the show aint as prolific as it was,
it used to be on sky one ever weekday at 4pm for an hour

now i hear since like january it on saturday at a 1pm spot!!!

 

Im working on Gamezville at the mo, hence Absolution gets coverage (you know it makes sense!)

It is on Sat and Sun at 1pm and we go 7 days a week during holidays periods like Easter and stuff...some homies will be on it soon playing some VF...

...now how do i convince them to send me to JP to cover Tuned...

all i can say, is need to rep the arcade players,its not about to bums mashing on an oval course on any random driving game...

 

well as u work there, u know that u need to record arcades at NTSC, (30frames) or use a standards converter on site if your doing a direct feed RX
im sure hire companys hav ntsc dv cams at about £80 a day or so...

 

Howdy fellas, I'd like to know how is it going to look with playing outside the tournament. If the preliminaries are going to be played on one winning match, it means the end of tournament for 90% of people. So how about some friendly playing?

there's going to be a 3on3 tourney for vf4 at abs, but it needs 12 teams at least to sign up! that's 36 people.. quite a lot!

i think it will be worthwhile to go for it though, because 3on3 is too good!

SO i've made a thread over at ullysis.com to help with forming teams for you lone warriors (find it here), and once you've sorted your team then register it here.

i think it would be a really nice way for VFers to finish the tourney, as 3on3s are always good fun. so let's go for it!
