Lots of ways to get drinks. 6P P+K+G on hit gets you a drink and your option to follow with stance moves or the delayed 6PP force them to respect the string. 66P+G and P+G are great ways to drink if they block.
Also, once you get to 4 drinks, you can use PP4PP4 as a combo ender. It'll hit with the first three, and then the final hit will cancel the animation into a drink. Good old naked 6P+K+G at range is also a good way to drink from neutral, and hitting P out of that stance has surprising range, so you can punish people who try to dash in and punish the drink.
On a final note, remember to always drink between rounds. Depending how you KO there are different ways you can optimize your drinks, but you should be getting at minimum 3-5 drinks after winning a round.

ok great! Thank you very much for the advice! does 1kk not work after a certain amount of drinks? Are there certain strings that I should be prepared to use once at certain levels? I understand my goal is to get to 8+ drinks?
1KK is good but won't knock Taka down (<20 damage won't cut it). 8 is good because it opens up 236PP and 43P+KP, both of which are in your key bnb combo (236PP, P, 6K+G, 43P+KP). 10 Drinks gets you - HCF P+G, HCB P+G (two best throws), HCB P (excellent full circular mid), 214P+K (a mid launcher that's +on block), and 214KK (low starting launcher).
