As announced in the Spring 2025 VF Direct, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. No concrete date has been announced, but you can now put the game in your "Wishlist" on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. REVO version on Switch 2, which the console will be released on June 5, 2025, is still listed as "Coming Soon". Rollback Netcode and Crossplay (including the Steam version) are the highlighted features for this release.

Can't wait, I was hoping release date would be announced at combo breaker and it would release by mid summer.

Will we have block for Switch players in the options since 90% of them will be on WiFi?

The fact that you can already play the PS4 title on PS5, have they stated anywhere what will be unique to the PS5 version? My guess is that it'll have better graphics support, similar to the PC port, but was just curious if there has been any official word?

The main differences are replay support, runs at a higher resolution, has rollback netcode with cross-play and there's been a promise of further content updates down the line but nothing concrete. Hopefully they'll do something for people who already own the costumes on PS4 because I'm definitely not buying all of that stuff a second time

No official word, but I assume the replay feature mentioned in the latest producer letter would be implemented (and sadly I don't think PS4 VF5US will get it). I hope the game has enough additional features added that consumers see it as worth purchasing another VF game (even though they already have VF5US). I mean, 4k graphics and roll-back net-code is nice upgrade from Ultimate to REVO, but not necessarily a big enough upgrade for non VF-fanatic consumers to make the purchase.

So reading between the lines, it appears as though the PS4 version is no longer being supported?

It feels like that is the case. I tried to get clarification from SEGA, through various means, but have not gotten a reply back. Maybe during Combo Breaker we get more info.

Wished you can upgrade this from PS4 version. I actually bought PS4 version back then even if it was free with PSN+ but bought it to support the franchise. If you can't upgrade I hope this version will be but cheap.
