Stick design.

I'm sure there has been some kind of thought going into the standard arcade stick or something. But... I think i would like a custom stick with the joystick on the right side and the buttons on the left. I am right handed and i do everything else in life that takes coordination primarily with my right hand. And doesn't it take more coordination to press the direction combinations than a button here or there. When joysticks first appeared games only moved in 4 directions up,down,left,right. Maybe then it made more sense to go off-hand for stick and dominant for buttons. Well, what do people think? Also lefties weigh in. Could u imigane using ur left for buttons and ur right for the stick, do u think that would be just inferior? Especially with akira?

 

Don't reinvent the wheel, just learn how to roll it. In the old days people would just play cross-handed if they felt they had to.

I know a few people that use a joystick cross-handed, mostly Mexicans. I hear some cabinets in their country have the stick on the right. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif
