ShinZ and his roll

Alright, awhile back i had dowloaded the ShinZ Combinations video on Kage. and at the very end of the video, ShinZ does a TFT to vanessa into the corner of the training stage and does kage's rolls into the corner of the wall. My question is how does this hurt Vanessa?

 

If you check out Kage's movelist here on VFDC you'll see that the forward roll is an attack that takes away 10 damage points after two rolls.
