   I don't think you can directly link images from geocities sites. Try just giving the link to the image instead:
   
   http://www.geocities.com/gelliebellie/images/adrianstephen.jpg

   Or, an old workaround that I'm not sure works anymore...
   
   Change the extension on the image to .txt, and then just link to that.
