How many items to unlock?

Could someone give me an estimate of how many items you can unlock for each character? And are they interchangable between characters? I love the idea of being able to change the design to my taste

 

My best guess would be somewhere around 60 to 70. I unlocked every item with Wolf, so yeah abouut 60 to 70 per character.

 

Wow! How long did it take you to unlock them all?

 

I'm wondering that myself. I only have around 350 with Wolf so far, and I havne't even skimmed the surface as far as items go. That and I'll never be able to afford to buy out all the items in the shop lol
