Any players out there from the Peoria, IL area?

Hey, I was just curious if there were any players out there from the Peoria area in Illinois. I'm going through a rough life changing experience and am hoping to get back into VF as a way to help cope with things. Thanks.

My friend tells me that you'd like to join my group. I got of group of VF players that meet up and play at my place every now and then. I use to live in Peoria but I live in Eureka, IL now so I hope thats too far from you.

 

Not at all, dude. I live in Metamora so Eureka is just basically 20 minutes or so down 116 for the most part.

I haven't really played in a while, but have obviously been looking forward to FS forever. How big's the group and how often do you guys play?

 

I got about 7 or so peeps that play, which includes one of my best friends. 2 of them are brothers that live in galesburg now but I'm sure if I called ppl up they'd probably come down to play.

We use to play like 2 a week but gas has been killing them lately so they have to watch their money now.

 

that's definitely cool. With FS dropping next week I'd definitely be up for playing with you guys if that's cool.

my level of play might not touch you guys, especially if you've been playing regularly for a while, but i'm eager to learn and improve. plus, i know i'll be rusty as hell. i'm planning on picking up jean when FS hits, so i'll be forced to learn things almost completely from the ground up again anyways, so that'll help. i also actually play using the controller, fyi. i've tried a ton over the years to play on various sticks and have never been able to get comfortable with them for whatever reason.

i've primarily played lau and lei in the past. i've dabbled with wolf a little, as well. goh is someone that has always excited me to learn how to play, but i've never really been able to get to a point where i felt i was making much progress.
