360 Controller

I'm pretty new to both VF5 and the 360 in general but does anyone else have troubles with the 360's controller in fighting games? The d-pad just isn't working for me, I makes mistakes in pressing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif instead of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif semi-regularly . Is there a better controller or am i just out of luck and need to practice more?

 

Yeah its pretty bad for playing VF5. I couldnt pull of the moves at times.

You may wish to check out this thread discussing how to modify it so that it registers the directions better if you don't plan on getting a joystick.

 

i've been using the li'l anaolg stick on the controller instead fo the dpad and after a week or so of adjustment, i'm getting better results. still only about 80% of what i can do on ps3, but still, far better than i was doing with just the xbox dpad.

 

Any 3rd party pad is better for VF than m$ controller.
