This thread will be used to summarize any news related to the Virtua Fighter Open Championship. With this weekend's Combo Breaker being the first qualifier to start the VFOC!

10 Players will qualify for the Global Finals that will occur in 2026. One can qualify either through offline or online events. Location and date still TBD. Winner of Global Finals is rewarded with $100,000 cash prize.

VFOC Offline Qualifiers (VFOC Offline)
- 6 players qualify through 5 offline events around the world (2 qualifies from EVO 2025 in Las Vegas).
- Offline Tournaments, No Region Restrictions:
　　1. "COMBO BREAKER 2025"
　　2. “ASIA Qualifier in JAPAN”
　　3. "EVO 2025" Las Vegas (2 players will qualify from this event)
　　4. "VSFighting XIII"
　　5. “Thaiger Uppercut 2025”


VFOC Online League
- 4 players qualify through a series of online events. Region Restrictions are applied.
　　• North America: 2 online leagues
　　• APAC: 1 online league
　　• Europe: 1 online league
- Format of each VFOC Online League

1. VFOC Online Qualifiers - Two qualifier tournaments per league - Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2. The top four players from each qualifier advance to the VFOC Online Finals.
2. VFOC Online Finals - A total of 8 players compete against each other.​
