Hey Feck, I'm wondering if a double bounce is possible in this combo if conditions are right. Similar to your Aoi-only (apparently) combo. There could be a way.

I tried the combo again, and I got it work a bit when DE caused normal backstagger and punch caused a wallhit or stagger. The situation is hard to replicate though even though its easy to make DE after PIT :u:/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif cause wallstagger.

Im pretty sure though that StDbPm isnt guaranteed after a punch wallhit, even if its a side or back one. I couldnt pull this off with max recovery yet to either confirm or deny.

EDIT: waitaminute. Im pretty sure I saw a vid where DE was used instead of ShRm to cause backstagger..

 

Ahh, thanks guys. Yeah manji I don't think 46p is guaranteed after P> wallhit, i'm not sure though.

I'll have a mess around later see if I can get a double bounce from it. Probably only work on Aoi again like the other combo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

 

How about Vanessa, Kage, and Eileen? Those are the ones I really want to see. I haven't seen Wolf's either, but I really don't care about him.

 

I just tested it out, I don't understand it but it's not guaranteed if your opponent hits the wall straight but it is guaranteed if your opponent hits the wall at an angle?!

I got no idea why it's like that but i'll explain how I tested it incase you or anyone else wants to try.

I set CPU to block my /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and counter with a throw then I jabbed them and then did crouchdash fuzzy, then you can hit them with the shoulder ram. If you do this then do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and your opponent hits the wall straight the CPU will have guarded the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif but if you do the same thing and your opponent hits the wall at an angle the CPU doesn't block it.

 

Like I said in shoutbox, that particular setup isnt guaranteed when set on max recovery... nothing is guaranteed when ShRm staggers from the front.. However, in the backstagger situation you can get stuff to hit guaranteed, but imo the StDbPm is too slow..

 

Seems like the angle plays a part in it since the character would hit the wall in an odd way rather than directly (perpendicularly) it gives them more stagger frames?? OMG physics! XD blah..what am I talking about?

 

Correct, if the character hits the wall at an angle theres a different type of stagger.

Hey, if the SF2T, SNK & 3S crowd are still playing their games even after decades of it being released, I don't see why we shouldn't do the same.

Maybe, just maybe, one day VF5R will be released on console... maybe not by Sega but until then, I'm going to keep playing VF5 version C.
I'm even going to learn other characters and put up tutorial vids using what I learn.
I'm going to keep promoting VF5 to all of my friends on youtube and irl.

Not yet. I will be back before the end of the year. I try to play at least once every two weeks (offline) but my 360 got RROD and now MS has it. Once I get it back you might see me online around the last quarter of this year.
Hell, I might even be up for some laggy matches just for shits and giggles. It's better than not playing at all or playing Quest and Dojo all the time.

 

cool man, i might be back in the last quarter of the year myself, not sure yet tho. if so we can beat up on eachother until we've rounded back into some sort of form. I tried to play last weekend and was honestly at a loss for what to do. I was like, wait, wtf does R2 do again, uhhh, uhhhh, not sure oohhh yeah, that move. is L1 throw? man this is pathetic.

(then i got thoroughly trounced 3 matches in a row by a 7th dan and was PEACE OUT.)
