Quest opponents distributed online?

Is VF5 constantly updating its Quest AI roster? I am starting to wonder...

I know the % opponents defeated item in the game's stats implies there are a fixed number of AI opponents. Not to mention that game publication editors have characters in the game. And all of this can imply that some people have been put in the game before, or through recognition on places like VFDC.

But I was really surprised to not only play against an AI opponent named Plague or Brisal## (can't remember the numbers), etc... But even Portland's own RaybladeX (Lei Fei) was in the game when I played Quest mode...

I wonder if I'm missing something (maybe some contest that was held)?

Yeah a contest was held last year to get an A.I. character in Quest mode.
